A couple mils of surface hoar overnight

Everything looked really pretty before the sun hit it.

A shallow slope for shallow snow. I definitely hit bottom a few times but was stoked to be sliding on snow.

A vigorous winter storm will move into the Great Basin tonight and is expected to bring 1 to 2 feet of snow to the Wasatch Mountains by late Wednesday. Light snow will develop this evening ahead of this approaching storm.
If a lake band does develop the potential for much greater storm totals will exist.
    LAKE BAND!

I need to ski alot before mid-month, then I'm stuck chasing rednecks, eating Elk, and drinking too much.

IF LAKE BAND DOES DEVELOP THE 1 TO 2 FEET IN THE WASATCH
MOUNTAINS DOWNWIND OF THE BAND COULD BE GREATLY UNDERDONE.

This is perfect. The riding and weather was pretty ideal all of October, then WHAM!

    Winter.

True - exactly as it should be. Why I love Utah, none of that shoulder season B.S. to worry about. The riding was damn good in October.

Does that mean the 300' waterslide is closed for the season?
