IT IS ON CHOWDS, IT IS SO FUCKING ON!!!!!

THE YANKEES WIN, THE-E-E-E-E THE FUCKING YANKEES WIN!!!!!!! HEY CHOWDS....HOW BOUT USING SOME OF JETER'S NEW COLOGNE TO WASH THE SAND OUT......
I heard the scent smells exactly like his crusty old pussy.

Even if we hadn't won, it would've been totally worth just to see Whore-hey get the shit knocked out of him by Hinske. Guy was knocked so far into next week he couldn't remember how to tag Ellsbury.

What happened, irul, TV broken today? It's OK, nothing for you to see until April anyway.
    Where's iceman to say NINE??

Jeter is one of the best ever and Posada has stones the size of a giant's.
I was going to write something more inflammatory, but I can't bring myself to slam one of my all-time heroes, Dexter Rutecki.

Posada took a beating tonight. With grace I must say.

Still happy to see him get beat down. I thought the game might get ugly a few times.

Me too, especially after beckett hit giambi, without a doubt intentionally (2 outs, nobody on, big lead) in retaliation for youkilis being hit....WITH A 1-2 COUNT WITH PAPI ON DECK. Youk hangs those gorilla arms over the plate and still complains when he gets hit.

And Jeter dives into every pitch and does his little dance back on anything on over the inner part of the plate, all the while doing that little blink 'I've got something in my eye' routine.
But I thank you for your deference.

Hopefully it will throw his hitting off at the end here, since he's been hitting the ball way too well.

I guess at least we know who's getting the Cy Young now?

....oh, yeah, to let you all into a dirty little family secret, the icewife is a skankees fan (sad but true), and she's in Boston for a business meeting tomorrow and the guys she's meeting with came up with a ticket for her for tonight, and she brought all her goddamn skankee gear, so look for a hot mama in skankee gear in the lower boxes on the first base line, hopefully getting harassed but not hurt by the homeboys tonight.

The people in the lower boxes have too much money to get actually violent but she's no shrinking violet so I won't be surprised if I see her on the tube tonight getting yelled at. And I won't be bothered, either.

    I can't believe I married a skanks fan, I really can't.

What, did you get a new wife last week? The old one seemed nice, too nice to be like that...I'm fortunate, my NYC raised wife was previously unaffiliated, and has picked up on Sox Fever nicely.

Morgan tells us some players in the American League are confused about calls in Boston at critical times after a half step wrong out bad call of Damon at first.

Jack Nicholson smiles and says, ha, of course.

Well that was briefly exciting. Wish we could've helped Detroit catch the Yankees, but they might be up to it on their own.

Had to make up for the missed call on the strikeout one pitch earlier.

    rocket was great,
jeter did his usual clutch thing,
    joba was joba,
    mariano struggled with control,
but still had nasty enough movement to make papi miss.
seriously, if i was papi, i would have taken every pitch,
i think he would have walked and tied the game.
either way, good series for the bombers.
    GO YANKEES

Yeah, yeah...Yankees win again and win the series. BUT, Sox starting pitching is on.

See everyone in the playoffs. This series was the perfect answer to my previous question.

Heh. You're a typical fucking Masshole. You're telling me managers don't make too much out of the L-R matchups, and use their relievers too much?

You're the one that doesn't know what you're talking about. Again.

You seem like a nice enough guy, smokin, but in a battle of wits I take Stump. No offense.

    The way I see it,
    Clemens faded,
Joba finally found out he lives on earth,
Jeter hurt himself on that catch,
Rivera is not the same guy he was, Papi should've taken that pitch,

    and

    it was fun.

Plus the wife escaped uninjured, so that's good.

    Still 4.5, still 9.

i'd expect clemens to fade, the dude's old and just had two cortisone shots for christs sake. Joba left one pitch in a dangerous spot against a good hitter who's going good. Happens. Jeter's banged up already, still gonna produce.
Rivera, like I said, was lacking control tonight, that's all. People are always trying to insinuate that he's on the way out....keep holding your breath.
And yes, Papi should have swallowed his pride and realized that Rivera couldn't get the ball over.

Hey, we'll see. I don't think Clemens has 10 good innings left in his career.

I think Jeter yanked his groin and won't be the same player the rest of the year.

I expect Joba to go into a funk and Rivera to show his age.

But I would, because I hate the fucking Yankees.

This is why we play the games.

BUT, Sox starting pitching is on.
Isn't the starting pitching the reason for the loss? Or was that francona' over/under managing the bullpen?
    fine

under in this case, i was surprised to see schilling left in for the 8th. and especially surprised to see him left in to face jeter after allowing the other two batters to get on base.

i concur that a pitching change might have been a good idea against jeter in that situation. but i'm glad jeter got another chance against him! you can always second guess the manager....i'm sure francona figured he wanted his best guy in there.

Yeah, I was having Grady Little flashbacks, but at least this time I didn't have to sit there watching it all unfold at Yankee Stadium. This is just a tiny bump in the road that we won't even really remember after Detroit bumps the Yankees from the playoffs.
