We got into a bar fight over pool game that we bet a pitcher over. We won. The guys didn't like that. Things were said. My best friend since boot camp said it was best to just leave. We tried. Next thing I know I'm getting the shit kicked out of me back at the station because I stomped some guys ass that wasn't the same color as my best friend. I was getting the "stick to your own kind boy" ass beating.

Sure there have been some bad cops out there. Just like anywhere else there are some bad people in each group. But we need law and order. So tell me something Dex. And I'm wondering this from you.

And everybody is pissed at the cop and the other guy? Nobody knows how old the kid was, but according to the article he phoned police while the passerby confronted Kenney. So, apparently he isn't like 3 years old, apparently he can give a reasoned explanation of a volatile situation to police dispatch. If the passer by saw Kenney shoot the cop in the back and then drive over him, I think it would be a reasonable assessment that this guy is a danger to society. If he is still holding the gun he used to shoot the cop in the back, and refuses to put it down, I would consider that aggressive behavior and feel the need to defend myself.

I definately don't think all cops are super duper. But you folks in the anti cop crowd should pick your battles a little better. This one seems to be a hard sell to prove that cops suck.

Facts:
Cops do a job that most of us do not want to do
People that shoot cops are almost always bad
Most, but not all, cops are good people
People that try to help other injured people are good
People that defend themselves, their family members, and their community against an obvious danger are good

Sorry to be simplistic, but by my count 2 out of 5 of the people that were involved are dead. The other 3 will tell their stories in time, and until them you need to look at the available facts- a cop got killed and a cop killer is also dead.

Let's defend a man who just shot a cop in the back and killed him.
I doubt the passerby wanted to be in that situation and kudos to him for dealing with it in what I consider to be the most prudent way. It's got to be scary making the decision to step into that sort of situation, especially with your child in the vehicle. I'd hope 99% of people agree he did the right thing, and with any luck the other 1% exists only in online forums to play devil's advocate.

Since I've been gone since Saturday, went on a little bc trip in GNP, but that's another story, I thought I'd come back and defend myself since I took a lot of flack for the title.

All I was trying to say, is that Bode and his cousin both have an obvious problem with authority and both have an outlaw persona.

If you guys hadn't obliterated your memories, you might recall that I have been a huge Bode supporter, even in his worst moments.

I've said things here like, "Bode is my hero," and "Bode, American badass rebel motherphucker," I think that is verbatim.

When he won at Beaver Creek this year in the whiteout storm conditions on BOP I was here cheering the loudest. Guess what, I have always had a problem with authority myself, and I too get in trouble with alcohol in slopeside bars and I have been known to put my foot in my mouth.

I really don't see how the title is controversial at all. I think the cop and Bode's cousin simply brought out the worst in eachother.
