I think at this point skiing any peak given the temps/snow quality would be a bonus.

I would dig traveling to CO to tag a 14er. I always wanted to be part of the cool kid club and the whole 14er thing is all the rave. (mostly serious here)

Did you honestly have a complete ski descent of the pyramid this winter and not post a TR about it. For shame...

Yep, and after all that spraying about how crappy everyone in the squaw comp was, and how a basin is better than squaw, and how he was going to rule it in the master's division at the butte. Not too sure about obaburga.... But if he's not just trolling or something, good for him, for sure.

I'd love to see some photos from Long's, too, and hear about N Eolus and why it was the only one he skied in Chicago basin.

yeah oba, whats up with the utter lack of stoke? Out of the 53 14ers I count as official in Co, I managed to ride:

    None.

Prolly did it in one day too. I mean, it's only 52 miles round trip in the winter. I thought for sure he would pick up the rest of the slack and nail the others while he was in Chicago Basin.

You folks into numbers need to start heading to AK to finish the endless job.

I mean, why stop at CO, WA, and CA?

I think that only the provable by TR 14er descents should count. I am quite certain that almost all of the 14ers get skiied every year, so letting 16 post jong maggots who have not posted a TR for the descent count in the aggregate just makes it all the less impressive. If it is a maggot 14er quest, than it should be maggots that go on the board, not just some 16 poster waving his dick with no backup(not that we all dont like waving our dicks from time to time. And id have no problem with a 16 poster being included in this as long as there is a TR on the board for it to back it up, the more the merrier). I guess that leaves out folks who cant afford a digi cam though for the quest, but if someone can vouch for obaburga then please let me know and ill edit this post, but otherwise, whose to say he did these peaks or not(I know, innocent until proven guilty but im playing devils advocate right now and trying to get him to pony up the pics for us all.)

Could have had one last Saturday.... instead of waking up late after all the Guinness.

I mean you hiked/climbed them all.... that probably counts somewhat as well!

what couloirman said. no better way to get some more good stoke on the board than to make a TR a necessary requirement to claim it!

however, when we go to metric units in the states, there's going to be a lot of people bummed out that they dont have a nice pretty number to get a hard on about. The smart ones are already out scouting and finding rad lines and beautiful descents on the peaks in the 13123-13999 range.

whats with the #'s couloirman? what is a 16 poster? did you mean "poser"?

and my vertical ascents of 14k ft peaks are something i do for my personal stoke. on a personal stoke level on the stoke-a-meter i'm like so stoked is wicked. i don't take pictures on my peak quest cuz i'm trying a new technique called mountain memory. at least i don't go profitting from my mission like some other people.

And I just don't like the way hacking is scored high in comps these days. back in 97' billygoat skiing would not be awarded on bodybag. And my wife, shit I mean ex-wife...she would agree.

and i admit longs was not really "skiing"

Davenport told he rubbed his taint on the USGS marker on every summit. Now that is fucking core.

No, I am not calling you a poser, I was referring to how many postd you have on this forum. A 16 poster has 16 posts, ie: newbie/JONG, but dont worry, we've all been there.
What I am saying, is that in order for this 14er quest to be even remotely meaningful, if you make a possibly first winter descent of the pyramid, try to count it on this list, and don't have any pics(proof) to back it up, it is as good as if it never happened to me. Any douche(I am not calling you a douche) can just say he has them all right now and the project is done right? Wrong. There has to be some guidelines to what we will count, and I personally dont think that yours should if you have not posted up a TR to back it. Those are some damn large descents to be claiming with no pics/stoke that has been put up on the board. Just my 2 cents, not trying to be too hard on you, but I mean, come on, if you wanna be part of this community then I think we deserve some pics. Dont you?

I skied the 7 summits and all the 4000 meter peaks as well as all the 14ers in north america since January, but I broke my camera and didn't take a single picture, does that still count.

The descent has to start within 1000 vertical feet of the summit and you must ski at least 100 vertical feet. It is optional to summit the peak, but if you do summit you must take a picture of the summit register, you will earn bonus points if your name is on the same page as Davenport's.
    Allright, your thread, your rules.

I guess that means that MBSC and I skied Sneffels last fall, 100' short or not.

Don't forget Kya mentioned Castle (who else was there?)
...and I already mentioned Wetterhorn/ Don Pedro.

    Gotta fill that list out.

Damn these daycare bills are getting high. I think I can still get them all again with the month we have left.

Doumall just hiked Latplata, But he did ski Humboldt I was there and saw it while puking my guts out from the hangover I had. We both also got Grays this winter with Dobish

Does this mean we aren't counting Marmot's claims any more?
