    Meet my first maggot today

I met a maggot today for the first time, yeah I am a major jong. It was at the Ghee and it was puking all day. I am sitting in the Snorkel around 1 (it was a tough day to take a lunch break) and I am by myself because I am a loner jong maggot. This guy walks up and asks if I am alone and he can join me? I got my chicken noodle soup and some water and my coffee laced with almerreto. "Sure, have a seat." We get to talking about skis and his quiver since my quiver consists of some 8800's and a pair of old straight 200's. Finally he points to his new Bro Models outside the window behind him which I couldn't see because they where hiding behind the log between the windows. I know about the Bro's and we figure out we are both maggots. Kewl! He is SkiingBear and lets me take 'em for a run in the chopped up knee deep fluff we had here today. I was a little tentative at first but those things rock! They are fat and about 10cm longer than my skis and were the stiff model. I loved em. They won't go into the uber tight trees here like my 178's but the Ghee has lots of open terrain and some huckable cliffs that I think would be fun on some fat, stiff, long planks. Splat, you still got some skis for sale? Thank you SkiingBear for letting a complete stranger, maggot, jong take a run on your 2 day old Bros. I hope you enjoyed yourself on my little 8800's. After that it was back to the tight knee to waist deep trees for the rest of the day. Tomorrow morning should be even more epic here at the Ghee. Too bad there is the possibility I might have to work. Maggots Rock!!!

I did and bro if you rode his fat, long, stiff pair of...uh...skis today at the Ghee you woulda had one helluva ride to. I know you coulda turned that long, stiff, fat thing into a very gay joke and I thank you for just insinuating it. Hell! I will just came out of the closet and I admit it. I was a straight ski hold out and "I like long, fat and stiff ones." That is how I like my skis. I like my women short, skinney and ...and...they must like to ride long, stiff, fat....uh, skis.

Welcome to the world of the fat, long and stiff... where men are men and the women just go bahahahaha.

I'm sure they are great skis. I will probably pick some up next year.

Heh, this thread's takin' a kinda funny turn.

I was up at Targhee for the weekend for a ski patrol clinic. Basically, an excuse to get the division ski & toboggan instructors together to refresh some skills and just ski together. Regardless of what you think of patrollers, most of these guys can rip. I'm a big fan of posse skiing and just leaving carnage in your wake...and that's basically what we were up to yesterday. Targhee had 12-24" of new depending on where you were measuring, and with a crew of 8-10, it didn't take long for us to track out a few areas. I skied with that group till about 12:30ish, then I needed some food...that's when I ran into Gheepup.

It's pretty much like he tells it, there was an open seat at his table, and I was looking for a place to sit. We got to chatting and I pointed to my Bros in the window. He tells me that he almost bought a pair but wasn't really sure about the 188 length. We compare boot soles and they're close...so game on. I don't think he was expecting to hear, "You wanna ski em?" after knowing me for only 10 minutes...but in my experience, that's the maggot way. I'll be honest, in the back of my head is the, "Don't let this guy bolt with your Bros" voice...and he easily could have. He took off from the top and skied the shit outta them. I kept up on his skis, but definitely more work on my part. Regardless, great to make some turns with a new maggot.

As for my first 2 days on Bros...FKNA!!! I got on them on Saturday afternoon, even though it was still mostly groomer conditions. After a few runs I felt like I was getting a good feel for them. I got them in the crud for a bit that afternoon and I really started feeling it. Sunday, with the new snow, I was stoked to be on them. Definitely my current ski of choice for late day powder (Spatulas still win for early-day/non-tracked pow). I'm wishing I had pics from yesterday, but nobody was willing to slow down enough to set anything up...there was powder to be had, and it was disappearing quickly.

Frozen...I hear you were there yesterday too...where'd you spend your day? If you saw the Bros and didn't say anything...

I think that a response along the lines of "Bros. So hot right now" would have lit the kinship even earlier in the conversation.

So THAT is what that junkshow was all about! We speculated that it was volunteer ski club/patrollers from the midwest or something, honing skills. Which is all fine and good! I ripped 26 laps on Sac before 2:00 pm, we felt bad for you guys, tobogganing down into the deep fluffy sickness, whilst we floated repeatedly around you...(I am one of the swallowtail mafia, if you happened to notice us).
I hope you got some free-ski runs in, that was a truly off the scale classic Ghee dumpfest....sweetness.

Hey rideit! Did you get up to the Ghee today? Pretty sick but not as filled in as I had hoped for. Was a lot of fun though and I can't wipe the grin off my face. Lets go make a few turns together sometime.

The Bro's got me thinking more about longer skis. So today I rode some 186 Pro's. They killed it!!! Now I want to try the 194's. SkiingBear, if you want my opinion of the Pro's IM me or email me at ken@greencafe.com. That goes for any of you maggots too.

SB, thanks for keeping your posse out on Blackfoot yesterday so me and rideit could enjoy Sac without 8-10 lines being torn up each lap.

I just hope all the maggots treat other maggots like the maggots they are and like SB bro'ed me. I want to offer my service to maggotdom with a warm floor to sleep on if you are ever in the need at the Ghee. I will even give you a wool army surplus blanket. Its pretty cool lookin' and fucking warm.

As long as we ask for change, we can change the world.

GheeGuy _ We're sold out for now, but I'm heading back to the factory asap.
As for the little things that happen with Bros - I stumbled out of the Cliff Lodge at the crack of noon to go skiing at Alta yesterday. I'm standing at the bus stop. All of the sudden I notice this vehicle almost backing into me. I hear 'Change for a nickel, Bro?' It's phUnk. Got my ride to Alta, where phUnk changes parking places up front with a departing DanTheMan. This shit has major juju.

    Slat,

Well, shiat! I guess I will have to get some maggot to sell his 186 Pro's to me then...this years model. Yeah, good luck to me on that, I know.

I started skiing somewhere around 1986 and was on two planks for about a decade. I switched over to the darkside for another decade on one plank and have been loving it. Lately with the revolution in ski shapes and technology (not to mention bindings) I have been itching to try out the elevens again. So an old friend that you know as BelowZero....
I know you? Ha what a small world!

Gomer got all excited about a little gay joke and had to go find a little gay ski porno to look at in order to get his rocks off. Then he felt compelled to share it with us all. Thanks man, I didn't really need to see that.
