Nice pics Scotty! Glad you did make it up there, sorry I couldn't come with. Even if I hadn't gotten hurt I had to be at work at 7am friday......to take another stupid test!

Anyway the Injured Reserve list grows. Who else wants in?!?

btw the knee feels better with each day. It'll be tempting to go up next week sometime for a mellow groomer day, to see how it feels...

Looks like you had a good day besides the leg bone connecting to face bone.
    Great pics.
    Glad you're alright.
Give me a buzz next time you are headed on a solo mission.

Iggy, hope your melon is feeling better. Sounds like a pretty freak thing, especially considering that you were wearing a helmet.

Concussions are no good, lord knows I've had more than my share.

That's the lower cliff band of Avalanche basin, about halfway between the Throne and King, and is east facing.

The skier may have been either Laura Ogden or Ingrid Backstrom. Impressive...that looks to be 50-60 vertical feet, easy. TGR is due back next week to do more filming.

I skied Xtral today, and found wind affected slopes on north aspects like the face of the King.. Dropped into Lobotomy, didn't like it, crossed it and Pinball to get to some nice wind dep on a sheltered NE side of the open line just past Pinball. Then went over to a few chutes before ThreeWay and scored totally untracked consistent 12-16" og sweet pow on one of the steepest lines. Next we hit Throne Chutes, which were OK. After that spent the rest of the day skiing Left Angle and Guntoer ridge lines in much lighter and mor econsidtent powder. Found plenty of untracked... Dang the glading that Tom Parks and crew did a couple summers ago is freaking awesome. Nothing like 1800 vert of 32 degree trees....... and now much more skiable.

South slopes were rough and stiff and generally to be avoided. Bananas was schweeet but had bumps in it! and was really filled in.

We were going to tour out toward Crystal Peak, but it fogged in at 10 am, then started lightly snowing for the rest of the day.

Here's Wayne G on a better day, last Feb...
