Today was cold, be sure to put some cold wax on your skis if your touring tomorrow. If not, it's super slow.

Good pow at Alta today, the cold wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I had to quit after four runs due to boot pain though. Looks like I have a date at Daleboot saturday.

That's lame, you should take her to a nice restaurant or a movie instead. Though, since your boots are bothering you, you could get new boots while you're there...hmm.

Squirrel, after my commute this morning, that's not even funny.

FKNA, boys and girls! Cold this morning waiting for the chair but well worth it. Boris got us a front row spot (as usual, good work dude). Normal cast of characters minus a few (we miss ya Xover...). We were worried that crossing the high-T would be rough, especially with all of the Rock Stars charging behind us so we let Sage's group go by and jumped in. The snow was really sticky (cold) and even my coldest wax wasn't enough today, the Spat's were dragging on the T's. We got to gut punch Highboy first run, it was great to look over and see AG and Sandy killing it to my right, Boris right in front in a cold smoke cloud. As I got to the access road at the bottom, I slipped onto the road and run into Onno. I thanked him, I don't know what for but it seemed the right thing to do. He smiled and knew what I was saying. The rest of the morning was a blur of face shots and meeting new people at the lift every ride. Sorry we didn't get to ski with Treskow, Kristin and Yetiman but I think everyone was in there own cloud. I'll smile at work all day today and I think I know why.

Wow, I don't think I've been this jealous in a while. It's painful sitting here at work...since 8:45am.

I'll get mine, it's just a matter of time boys and girls.

In the office, AND suddenly sick. Not the "boss, I'm sick, need to go home (snicker snicker, going skiing)" kind of sick, but real sickness. Sigh. Thanks for the TRs though, makes the desk (and runny nose / headaches) more painful.

Trust me, I know how you feel. At the top of each lift ride, I had to "farmer" my head clear. Trying to ski the last few days with serious dizzy spells when I sneeze has been fun too. I think I've either got the Bird flu or the Plague. Hopefully through the worse and even more hopeful I haven't passed this on to anyone, it sucks. Get better, go ski Yenta......

I initially thought you came flying off of HighBoy onto the catwalk an RAN INTO Onno. I thought, "Oh fuck Craig, there goes your pass for while."
Sometimes one of the hardest things to do is shut it down at the bottom of High Boy before splatting onto the catwalk. However, one sweet, double EJ crater down by the Uturn and I learned my lesson.

Oh, by the way....I hate you.

Yeah, that would suck, he's probably the one guy I would not want to pancake. I'm with you, I learned my lesson a long time ago.

Don't hate, just come visit. You know you guys always have a place to stay if you need a fix.

Same, I'm holding my breath around everyone since I wasn't sick when I came in (I would have stayed home to avoid contagion), can't leave until my carpool is ready, and don't want them all to hate me. Sigh. Not being very productive today......

And nice on the Farmer blows!

single digits at the love today with minimal wind, cold smoke and cream. Once up to operating speed it was friggin chilly. My toes actually hurt on the ride home for 20 minutes, i am sure there was minimal frostbite there

Solitude was nice and balmy today. Especially in the shade. Even the cold wax was giving me problems. Lots of blower still untracked when we left at noon.

    Mmmmmmmmmmmm Cold....
    -4 in town this morning,
    -14 at work @ 6800ish
unfortunately only about 3 inches of snow at the house, and not quite enough to start touring in the mountains.

Not sure if I was ready for the backside this morning...Kinda caught me off guard. I ended up just drinking a lot of milk because I was out of spuds this morning, and well yeah, feels great to get some face shots on the first bluebird day of the year (for me!). And damn...it sure was cold, Mr. Down Jacket sure did come in handy...when paired with a fleece! My nose isn't too wind burrrrrrred either...

That was me. And not yet. (I do have mittens, they just need to be replaced - but I threw some heater packs in there and had a blast today despite the cold. 6 layers of clothes and disposable heaters and no stopping until I went home...)

Anyway, I went and tried on a few pairs today. Haven't decided yet though.

I needed expedition mittens today on the first run. Brrrr.

But the powder was super blower and super untracked.

x100 I still had warm wax on the Seths and I was holding everyone up on the T. Blower...dry as you can imagine...mmmmm.

4th person down gunsight, backside was $$ all day. A group of 5 of us (didn't know them) were through the gate at gunsight just as a 'troller opened it.

My legs are going to fall off....

Thanks for leaving some! daPig, TradyGirl and I schralped around for a few hours. I'm going to blame the cold and lack of cold wax on the skis for my complete beatering today. Still, it was great to get out there and attempt to become better even though the flailing was epic. Anyone use those toe warmers? Tried them for the first time ever and was pleasantly surprised that 1) they didn't come off the toes or fold up when shoved in my boot and 2) they actually fuggin' worked.
Fightin' to save the motherfucking day...
