Robert Scheer hits the nail on the head-- - sorry, but I know peeps "over there", this shit is really bugging me..

America is made up of easily duped people and people who don't have the time or energy to sift through the mountains of information to find the the truth.

The Bush administration knows this and has been waging an evil but brilliant PR campaign to win the hearts and minds of these people. Gotta hand it to that shithead Rove for orchestrating it.

The media knows what Bush is up to and they're fighting back as hard as they can, but thanks to a few colossal clusterfucks (I'm looking at you Dan Rather) and shoddy journalism, they've lost quite a bit of credibility.

I'm all for the Iraq war but not the way that the adminstration went about it.

I'm afraid it wasn't so much brilliant as devious. The audience was so hungry for jingoistic bullshit and fast buck voodoo that they just ate it up. Anyone with sense enough to pour piss out of a boot could glean the kernel of truth from the main Bush/Cheney positions. WMD? Iraq/Queda connection? Privatize Social Security?

The tide is turning and the hounds are at his heels now for all the fucking good it will do.
