I don’t know, but Karen O. lost the majority of her buttocks in a Williamsburg thrift store.

I'd love to know what that means.

I think her best work was the song she did for that Adidas commercial. Pretty Girls Make Graves kick the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs collective asses (chick singer band-ly speaking).

I still really like 'em though.

Karren O. is the queen of the Fashion Police and has an ironing board for a backside. Plus, Williamsburg is the capital of the hipster world and where band lives (lived?). Cleaver? Okay, maybe not.

Very cleaver after that explanation. I've never seen Karen O, but I like booty, so I guess I don't like Karen O.

Saw em in boston a little while ago, and yeah, it's hipster dimension all over the place, but thankfully they rock pretty hard.

seen 'em before, good show, and liked their fIrst album, but just haven't been inspired enough to buy their new one. is it good?

i might just go buy some early Pretenders on iTunes instead, or some early X...same idea, executed better IMHO.

concert was good, my face was rocked off. Karen O really has some "unique" moves on the stage. she seemed a bit too happy to be there for me to call it angry chic music though

I like the new album a lot, with an LL cool J cover, how could you not?
    something like a phenomenon baby

Blood on the Wall opened for them, they were ok, but I liked them better 15 years ago when they were called the Sonic Youth. didnt care for their girl singer who looked like Garth's soulmate from the end of waynes world 2

Sonic Youth was one of the founding Groups of the US noisemusic of the mid-eighties along with the Pixies. Sucks that this newest iteration isn't up to snuff.

If you like Alternative Rock then you must own "Goo" or "Dirty."

Theres no connection between Sonic Youth and Blood on the Wall. Trouble was doing his best David Spade impersonation with his comment.

sometimes the yeahs remind me of Souxie and the Banshees, pretty good.
but PJ Harvey is a much more angry woman and with lyics like "you leave me dry" and "rub till it bleeds" how can you go wrong?

too clarify what I meant was that I thought they sounded like a lesser version of the sonic youth and yes ripped of david spade in the way I said it.

as far as I know there is no connection with any of the people involved, but I took tippster's comment about the newest iteration just meaning the newer bands of that genre, not the same people

They put on a pretty lively and energetic show at Coachella this weekend. That chick was definitely on something though. Damn, she can do some crazy stuff with that mic! Good set though. Will definitely check them out again.
