Anyway, it looks like the walmart and bestbuy near my school are doing midnight releases. That might be the ticket, as I can go from my chem help session, ending at 2:50, straight to one of the stores.

Thats only for presales. Once you have the ps3 in your hands you'll be fine.

Probably a good idea to be in the first 20 or so... otherwise find a different store to camp out.

I'm thinking this may be the problem with the midnight release stores, not enough commitment factor. I'm thinking I'll have more luck where it requires and overnight camp-out, as far as getting forward enough in line.

    What's Pchem? I know I'm dreading organic...

Fuck that, they are on ebay right now for that much. If I get one, I'm coming straight back to the dorm and putting it on ebay after I get a pic of it in hand.

Physical Chemistry. It's a bitch. Organic was a breeze for me, really depends on your professor and how he wants you to learn the material.

I'm probably going to start camping out tomorrow night or thursday morning. Luckily I have some prescription amphetamines if I need to really go the distance on keeping awake!

I might bring my sleeping pad and sleeping bag if I have to, not going to bother with a tent. I don't have to take Physical Chem as a premed requisite, thank god.

It won't be colder than 40 degrees, so I'll be set I think. Lots of coffee and sleeping until noon on Thursday should be enough. (First and only class at 1230)

i'd be weary of current presale prices on ebay. a lot of people are intentionally overbidding those auctions because they don't like the idea of people reselling them in the first place.

anecdotally, it seems that everyone i've known/heard about who is talking about picking one up on launch day is doing so to sell it on ebay. take that as you will.

just look at the xbox360...more of them were avaliable and the prices still went crazy. And how long has it been since Sony rolled out the PS2? People are going to go crazy.

    Haha, good call.

6 Books of the aeneid? Check.

    Pwnage of chem quiz? Check.

Extra credit detailed outline for logic class? Check.

    I'll have plenty to do...

Any PNW'ers doing this? it appears that Best Buy or Circuit Citys may have up to 50 or 60 at each store. Could be worth it for sure.

    I'm crappin'-my-pants excited about this.

We'll have to come up with some stats afterwards on "total mag profits based on PS3 sales".
