Also, I just booked my plane tickets. December 20 until January 15 in Austria. Klar, we're on for skiing this time.

    well, i don't think it's down there.

not much in the halfpipe either.

    looks like keksie found some.

this picture of keksie sums it up fairly well, it has been very warm, pistes are black glacier ice & rocks, with the odd smear of faceplantsticky slush, go high enough and there may be a layer of fluffy dust over the ice, thinly veiling the cracks.

nothing special in the next 7 days.

except for a possible summer day (25°C+) in the föhn areas next week

Nope, no €'s... Prolly try to drag my ass to Martinske Hole in Slovakia around mid Jan...

And then there's the Stryn thing in late May - early June. Plus possibly something around March / April and Northern Sweden/Norway...

Too busy to really ski much .

You interestid in that Slovak-thing, prolly a long weekend or something... possibly with a car or public transport from Munchen / Vienna?

in principle yes, ask again when the time comes. january can be difficult because of exams, school is so inconvenient. consider me carefully in though. is there a date for this?

Nine inches of fresh on the glacier at Zermatt today. Looking good for the weekend's ski test.

Give me a shout in case you head down - will be around quite often during the winter for work (AND fun for sure).

Well the dates are 18th to 21st of Jan, and I'm 99% certain that I'll be there... atleast skiing saturday and sunday.

Hopefully, there's good snow (usually atleast one of the day is pow) as the terrain in Martinskehole ain't anything gnarly... More or less fun cruising and some tree-skiing...

The party / BBQ and evening party on Sat has been top notch, though .

Just checked Zermatt webcams, definately got a few inches down to even below Trockener Steg. Nice, SOMETHING is better than NOTHING!

Don't mean to be the party pooper but judging the webcams, I very strongly doubt there's enough snow to cover the rocks around T Steg... Up on Klein matterhorn things could well be better though
