well. i don't know. i believe he uses training heels. i am not sure i can deal with that. then again i think we are on the same ski. i remember something about austrian monsters, no? am having to deal with a pair of those things after breaking my beloved workstinx 2 days ago (RIP). ugh. had to spend a lot of time with victor, the skishopguy, and explain what a telebinding is.

damn! a ripping tele skier. you must be the only one on the planet

btw. why overtime ? i never wanted to film you while skiing
And it's a sad thing that they are eliminating all the cool laws. i always wanted to be charged with "grobem Unfug" but they removed it too

Skiied the Mont Blanc du Tacul today. 50-100cm fresh, not blower light stuff but big ripping turn potential. Heading back tomorrow, maybe. Anyway up for some summer turns?

Unfortunately not. My partner bailed on our 8:00 AM lift rendez-vous at 9:15 AM so I went up and soloed the damn thing.

Check out Idris' recent thread but imagine MUCH better snow.

Felt GREAT to be back at the Midi on skis...

The Monsters are indeed in my quived alongside some m103 and Mojo90 (hey, I'm keeping the Austrian ski manufacturing industry in business all by myself ...).

No-one has ever asked for their money back ... However, klar, if you manage to break the Monsters as well, then I won't charge for the above-mentioned overtime ...

i'll tell you a secret. we ripping tele skiers live in a parallel universe of secret powder runs and descend only occasionally to the world of "alpine skiers" and "snowboarders" to laugh at their puny attempts at grace. if they catch sight of us and think our way of moving silly and inefficient, we do not correct them, for ignorance is bliss.

Luckily even good telemarkers are usually pretty slow so we don't notice your amazing and perfect form for the 2 milliseconds it takes to fly by you.

I mean seriously: let's all revert back to leather boots and wooden skis because they're more challenging and we can impress all our friends when we master riding them.

I find telemark very enjoyable. That said, I've never skied on alpine bindings. The argument that tele is slower is daft and neglects the reasons that many of us ski - not for the speed or the adrenaline, but for the feel of the turn.

Yeah I know edg, different strokes for different folks and all that. I must admit I've occasionally thought about giving it a go one day.

The preceding post was just my standard pretyped response for whenever telemarkers get all high and mighty.

Is being a dickwad second nature for Ohio wannabe exstream skiers? Or is it just you?

Shut the fuck up already, tool. A bunch of little birdies who flew to Cham and met you told me that you're a fucking nnnnNNNERRRD in real life as you are on this board.

The photoshop made me laugh, but the rest was uncalled for. Bbirtle did mention that it was just meant as a joke (although jokes on ripping tele girls are kind of ... well ... nerdy). Punani, don't you have a wave to ride?

come now, can't we all be friends and make condescending remarks to each other equally?

i, for one, am now going to braid some flowers into my hair, put on my selfknitted wool jumper and go out to look at the moon for a while, before i eat my dinner of tofu and organic lettuce. would you like to join me? we could sing a song together.

re: the teleuproar - i find it funny how alpine skiers like to cut on telemarkers because tele is more difficult, slower, etc. i find snowboarding way easier than skiing, often way faster, and ideal for carving and enjoying those turns. so why don't alpine skiers snowboard?

Hmm you reminded me I should start looking around for a good snowboard kit deal off-season... for those days when there's no hiking involved, lots of powder, and the flat bits are all avoidable, the 'gimpboard' seems like a nice way to go...

What's the difference between a snowboarder and a snowboard instructor? Ahh you've all heard that one I guess.

i actually started skiing in the late 80s and saw some snowboarders and thought "who'd ever want to do that". 20 years later, it's all i do.

it's not too late. come over to the dark side.../vader voice
