Jay today was yes, delivering, looking like a replay tomorrow, snowing pretty hard currently. No Tramside lifts so going over the top meant taking the shuttle back, which was well worth it. Ramen was the only thing open over there (or the only thing I noticed anyhow) so there was even soup.

Heading to Rutvegas next Friday for a work site visit. Anyone know whether Pico still allows daytime uphill traffic on this route? If not this one, is there a daytime route? https://www.strava.com/routes/backco...84104988350826

True that but a rip down a perfectly groomed cascade without a soul in sight is something pretty special. It's a "little" different than the trail I remember from the 80s but still fun as Hell.

I was just at K for a few days and their website says uphill open 24/7.
People had green armbands so you might want to get one.

VT looking good! The incremental stacking here in NH not as much but it's filling in. But still a little ways to go for most lines.

    Very windy yesterday.

Day 1… I was waiting for conditions to come into their own but finally settled for sunny and no wind. Morning groomers were awesome and then I decided to fuck around and find out.

I appreciate Saddleback’s liberal terrain opening policy...

You’ll change that scale when they get Bailey Falls up and running again.

    Hey, Jay… send snow.
That first day I spent with you and your family at Saddleback is still seared into my memory. So effing great. Until I hit that ice bulge and landed on my phone and cracked a rib or 2.

After that, poling out to Casablanca was a bit of a suckfest. Amazing glades everywhere on that hill.

I’ll be back (said in my best Ahnold impression)
