Looks like I missed the epic day at silver! Red was fun for sure though. Lots of soft snow and excellent terrain.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

    That is awesome!

My day there a few years back with the crew was memorable!

Mt Spokane was decent today. I got there around [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]:[emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]] and scored a parking spot not too far but by the time I left at noon, cars were parked along the road. Line wasn’t that bad so not sure where they all went.

Thinking of heading to 49N next week from Montana (Indy Pass). Google says I could go north at CDA and turn at Newport to the ski area. Valid route? I'm just getting used to winter driving in my van, would go thru Chewelah if that makes more sense.

Also, cell signal at the base area? Or, do I need to download some movies for camping at the base?

I'll post up again when I confirm, but thinking Silver on Mon, 49 on Tues and Weds. Small chance I might turn south towards Brundage instead.

Through chewy will have cleaner roads and less exciting driving, newport route can get spicy once you get around spirit, or sooner. I would download “movies” before hand, not sure the service is up to that task, others may know.

Yes, it's a valid route. It's also a nicer drive, scenery-wise. Roads should be good since we haven't really had much lower elevation snow.

I don't know about cell service but I would find it amazing if they didn't have it.

I’ve driven from sandpoint to 49 and number of times and echo what GM said. More scenic route that’s a nicer drive along the river and ranches. I’d take that route unless roads are hairy.

49 does have service but idk if it’s enough to download a movie

Rolled LO after waiting with Funky for about thirty minutes at the ganjola…

Hot creamy pow was harvested with the Mrs… chair five had some super playful terrain! Little ten to twenty foot boofs everywhere!!

Went to Silver but left little after 8 and got to Mt Spokane for few runs with a friend from out of town. What a great day!

Schweitzer was good, snow had some body to it but soft and fun. Morning line was a line but per usual it quickly disappeared by 930am. Wind deposit yielded shin to knee deep goodness. Saw the shrooms from the chair plus a few other mags. Fate had me park right next to FatKidfromFL.

Sun made an appearance in the afternoon but not directly so snow stayed cold.

2024/25 | Inland North West Ski Stoke and Meat-ups

    Fun morning out;

First hour it was a ghost town.
    Gate 2 > Gate 2 > Gate 1 > Sunset

    Then the crowds HIT!
Hit a chair 4 / then an OB lap, ps ITS IN! Got to lower 4 saw the crowds and bounced!!

The snow on lower 4 was killer!! Energetic with BODY — So fucking fun!

Swapped my SEs for Funky’s ZFs… whole bunch of NOPE. Maybe it was the snow, but pressured the tips when skiing pow and they kept pulling me up hill at the end of my turn. Adjusted my stance a touch and leaned back just a scoash and the tails were like fuck you dude. Felt like I couldn’t ski… straight lined the lower 1/3 of sunset so I didn’t have to fuck with turning. They rail groomers, but that’s not why I ski a powder ski. Can see the ski being sick in open alpine / chalk etc.

Anywho, might be able to be fixed taking a dremel to the shovels? Maybe I’m a shit skiier..

They’re still pretty sharp. You were definitely overdriving them. I had a couple small instances of the pull but backed off the tips and all was good. Still dialing in the tune. They want the fall line and prefer to not come across the hill.
