Silver was pretty good all and all. [emoji640]-[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]” with a light rain crust down near the bottom and a semi firm base. Some areas were deeper. Fast skiing when the vis allowed but had to pay attention since the bumps were pretty firm. Looks like significant snow fall coming!!!

Pretty significant crust on Sunday at Schweitzer but still fun. Went up to red mountain today, awesome blower pow for Christmas. Worth the trip at some point if you haven’t made it. Super fun terrain and pretty big mountain

Red has been on my list for years. Hoping to do Revy and Red this year. Lotta driving from where I live but seems like conditions are looking good so far.

“Most acres per skier in North America” red mountain claims. Which checks out the few times I’ve been there.

Btw fr110 crushed it in everything from rain crust to pockets of 12” of chopped pow. It covers 90% of conditions verrrrry well, talk about pivot on a dime

Looks like a pretty nice storm rolling through the INW. Stoked!

Curious what the A/B is between the R and FR.

I was going to reach out last weekend to see if anyone wanted to swap for a day but I didn’t end up making it out. The 186 fr110 feels just a touch short for me, wonder if moving to the R would fix that. Would be fun to compare.

If you are skiing Red, then Whitewater is 1 hour and 15 minutes away. If it gets mild, WH20 is high elevation, has tree skiing that almost rivals Red, and oh yeah, in a typical year WH20 gets 40 feet of snow.

Ironically, for the most part Red locals don't ski WH20 and vis versa. But for out of town skiers both mountains are must do stops on The Powder Highway.

Killer day at jackass, rolled up around 11:00.

Met up with NWSkier. Goats were his weaponry today. I was on se116s which were fun. MRSL was fucking slaying the energetic pow on her Sheevas.

Think I prefer a touch of camber when hauling around in bounds. That subtle reverse causes for the skis to constantly jostle around. While loose, it’s touch unpredictable so you’re always adjusting to stay on them. When in purely untouched they are ethereal, but that never happens when riding cable inbounds.

MrsSL and I closed the hill down!!
    Fkna what a day

Another solid day with my son at Mt Spokane. Snow was a bit heavy and sticky but it was fun taking him to non groomed runs. My girl stayed home sick. I may have to go by myself on Monday to get some pow turns.

Lol. They always under report. That snow stake if anything gets zero wind transport. SkiLyft will be giving the real deets later. They reported [emoji640] last week and it was easily eight to ten.We don’t complain. Lol

I’m sure it’s great either way, you can see the general level of the snow around the stake is lower than what’s plastered on the stake. It’s not a callout just an observation, cheers

What a day, snowed hard until ten. NFG popped at the same time. Fakkk. They said eight but we were skiing twelve to fifteen pretty much everywhere. Best day on skis in the last three years easily!!

MrsSL said SOB was boring with that much pow.
