I rode up with Ethel and Rory earlier, on the day Michael died. I liked her, she had spunk.
I've got both my condos rented, so I've been hiding out in Snowmass.
Sheer Bliss fired up today. Busy, but I never waited in any lines.

Ajax was $$$ this morning and pretty quiet until ten thirty or so. I put in seven laps under Six to wake up the legs.

Pretty fun day at Highlands. I am stoked for more snow…we have such a great start and assuming January doesn’t ruin all of it….some fun lines will be hit this year.

Highlands was fun yesterday - we ran into funken and GR when I was with the kids. They opened B One yesterday and I got a awesome early lap in there. G Two also had excellent turns

Patrol was talking about some sharks in the Bs but that they were going to open it. Being in one of the first groups up we just went straight for the Gs.

I was at Highlands with the kids yesterday too, lift lines were surprisingly manageable especially compared to Buttermilk the previous two days. Went up for some lunch laps on Ajax today and 1A, Ruthie's, and Hero's were ski-on. Singles line at 3 was sub-2mins. Not bad for the "busiest week of the year" and conditions are great.

I would avoid the gondy at 11:00ish tomorrow. Powder day, bluebird, and peak Holiday.

Same with Alpine Springs in Snowmass.
High Alpine, Sheer Bliss, Sam's and Campground if they ever open it, never have lines.

    This is the way.

Enjoy it out there everyone, we're headed to New Mexico for the week.

I brought the boys out to ski a Nastar lap and watch the Ajax Cup a bit yesterday. Nastar was closed but the rest of the mountain was pretty damn quiet as Jaytae said. The boys were motivated and they ended up skiing the Ridge for the first time.

We just hit a quick and cold Tiehack lap before our flight. Off to Seattle for a little bit of family time before school starts back up.

Anyone up in the bowl today? Still cruddy or getting more packed in the gullies? My daughter wants to go for her first lap tomorrow.

    It's already gusting to 16.
Personally, I hate hiking the bowl when it's windy.

I skinned to the top of Loge then hiked the bowl this morning. I was on my weight weenie setup and skied G8, it was pretty good. Everything but the G's looked really boney tho.

Recommendations on where to buy boots/get fitted in Aspen? My nephew is out in February and plans to purchase. Probably touring boots, but TBD on that for sure.

Did you break it on your new bike?

It was good, but it was fluff over some pretty dense crud.
It's been a great season, with just an average snowfall. It all fell in November.

    Returning to Aspen Mountain today!

We found some interesting snow and some good stuff on Highlands yesterday. Under thunderbowl lift was surprisingly good.

Hockey actually of all things, shot to the foot back in early dec. Kept doing stuff for a little while since its usually just a bruise, now I’m halfway through a full month on crutches. Hopefully I’ll be back on skis in another month or so but who knows

I managed a quick few hot laps at Ajax yesterday morning before taking the boys to Buttermilk. Soft and fun; Cone was skiing pretty deep.

Snowmass was very nice yesterday and not really crowded for this time of year, we skied right on almost every lift.
