Maybe market the alu to soulless plastic ppl since the feel of them will be about as sweet as a ping pong ball inside and empty paint can.

cnc milled? yer gonna cut 'em from a solid block of aluminum? in this age of additive manufacturing, that seems a wasteful step backwards to say the least...

The amount of snow and ice buildup in that pocketed top along with the hassle trying to remove it will leave a lasting memory in the minds of people buying these skis.

I'm just a dentist and not an aerospace engineer, but how well does aluminum hold a sharp edge?

None of my dentist drills are made of aluminum, and I cannot recall seeing anything ever that was designed to hold an edge made of aluminum.

There’s a reason you don’t see many aluminum knife blades.

This seems like a classic example of a solution in search of a problem. I wish them and their investors the best of luck!

Yeah, I appreciate the "Huh, I wonder if I could..." side of it.
But I don't think taking it beyond that to a commercialized product is valuable.

Back on topic because aluminum skis are as stupid as it gets (f they ever actually make skis I give them a year before they go under). Skied a my new Peak 88's for the past couple of days at Jackson (currently the land of no-snow groomers only, including a few laps with the 5 million foot man ). In short I loved them, full on hard snow rippers that showed me no speed limit and never balked at any turn I wanted to make. The rest of this story is sad to say the least. Probably should hoard a few pair of the 88's but really who wants to commit to groomer's that hard.

You'll probably be able to get the Peak 88s for $250 soon enough.

But you should probably just buy the aluminum skis instead. They are made of aerospace grade aluminum. You will literally fly on those skis.
