I’d rather see a skier fleece rich guys than the other way around. Bode was rad to watch race.

So, Bode is just the Trump of skiing making his money by losing other people's?

Y'all have a point. What is more American than doing whatever it takes to make a buck, even if it involves dishonesty. Those idiots that got fleeced need to smarten up. And maybe we shouldn't feel sorry for anyone that's even dumber than Bode I guess.

God Bless America, and daggumit, Bode for President in 2028. As long as we're electing shitbags for president, let's elect one that can ski for Christ sakes.

I believe an investment is only an investment if it carries some form of risk and reward.

Bode has six Olympic medals. I think the next closest president is Clinton with one blowjob, at least in recent years. Think about it. Bode '28.

If someone wants to invest in Keyhole technology, well, land of the free and home of the brave. I doubt many pension funds, contractors looking for payment for work completed, or teachers unions put money into Peak. Or Bomber. Or a ski academy. Some might say it smells like jealousy up in this elitist sports forum where we normally talk where upstate is, what real estate to carry our hedonistic pow days dreams on the cheap, or what colorway (we even can't use common language and say color to coordinate clamps and planks) to pick for our P15s should be on the next set of custom skis because we need a "use case" to justify the n+1 pair of skis in our shopping carts... yeah, go Bode.

Haven't skied Peaks yet but would give them a go if the opportunity presented itself.

Weird how Vail fucks small towns, IKON ruins everything, TGR opens a hotel, and we're mad at a guy for making some scratch off people with enough money to flush it on a company like Peak.

    Welp, there it is.

Conundrum just casually strolling through and closing the thread. Well said.

Thanks for helping me realize I didn't have to choose a side in this otherwise-unknown-to-me battle of who's right. You helped me realize I let way too much of the unknown universe influence my daily life.

And my gut still stands... would love to ski a ski designed by Bode and Dav. (assuming it is actually designed by Bode and Dav. That's kinda questionable at this point.)

All that said-- you know who I do know skis the skis they design? I won't type them here, in fear of this thread's toxicity bleeding over. But if you know, you know.

There are two extremes of the spectrum of the design:trustworthiness scale on this very site. Conundrum taught me that i don't have to try to guide those who are out of touch.

    Out...

Bode has 6 olympic medals but what does he know running the company which designs / develops a new ski brand/ gets it to market OR running a ski academy ??

a good question would be who are the people that design skis for the big ski companies ?

Peak Skis - Are those shitbags going out of business?

The last two years I saw a lot of them in Big Sky. 2 seasons ago they were giving out 2 for 1 coupons in the base area, so lots of local couples bought them. Everyone I talked to seemed to like them.

That said, the huge turn-off for me is this “top secret” Keyhole bullshit.

Just tell us what it is. I go to YouTube and Volkl has engineers describing exactly how they make skis. Cmon Bode, do the same.

I mean, “Keyhole” probably works. Volkl going from “titanal frame” to “Tailored titanal frame”looks to be the same idea as Keyhole. Volkl explains this in detail with engineering and math. No one explains Keyhole. Is it a 1/4 inch hole or a 3 inch hole? Is the “key” facing forward, or backward? (Elan would probably have the key facing one left and one right, then claim it interfaces with Amphibio). But whatever Bode, just tell us.

I've never seen a detailed Stockli cut-view of their core layup.
I've never seen a Dynastar cut-view of their core layup.
I've never seen a Head cut-view of their core layup.
I've never seen a Heritable Labs cut-view of their core layup.
I've never seen a Blizzard cut-view of their core layup.

Should I continue? All of the "videos" you see of their layups is superficial. Nobody cuts blocks of skis anymore. We used to do that, in 1992, but we don't anymore. Because that would give too much away.

I don't hate you for it. I get it. Keep building rad shit, please.

What do you want to see?
I've seen Stockli, Dynastar, Rossignol and Volkl? Some times, not all of the time we see them at dealer launches or clinics. The companies aren't leaving them in stores anymore because they usually end up on staff's coffee tables after Christmas.
I watched the interview. As a lifelong ski shop guy, rep, tech, etc if he was that good at designing skis (race skis in particular) I can't imagine how one of the power house euro race brands (most of which he skied on at one point it seems) isn't paying him very well to do just that. Sure ego (his) comes into play but come on he's got kids to feed.
what's orange and looks good on hippies?
    fire

    rails are for trains
If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for problems caused by the government I'd be a rich fat film maker in a baseball hat.

Bode and Andy I am sure will be more than happy to take a donation from you. Pony up and open up your wallet. Do it for the children.
