Not enough dogs named Daisy in the world, lol. On my pup's first vet appointment, they said there were 3 others. I had a similar experience growing up with what is still a very common name. Sometimes I think I'm being yelled at.
Anyone, sounds like the heat is making everyone very cranky. I know I am.

Dogs and kids. Just slightly less annoying than 100+ degree days.

Kinda back on topic: I'm pretty sure I saw a lizard person the other day. They are real. They are among us.
How do I know? Well, I'm driving around. It's hot. It's early afternoon, so not only is it hot and getting hotter, but the sun is basically straight overhead; very little shade. I stop for a pedestrian and this "woman" waiting to cross is wearing a black tank top and black tights and resumes jogging once I stop for her.
No human could possibly survive such a thing. This is someone who lives in a glass tank, under a heating lamp and can lick their own eyeball.

Salt Lake was a bit toasty last weekend, it hit 107 at the house. Had to go up high and sit by the lake while the dogs lived their best lives:

Got lucky on the hike in with some clouds and sprinkles. Upper 70s at 10k felt glorious. The hike out was rough, 3 miles of flat that burned 10+ years ago, no shade left, we all got roasted. The dogs were very subdued by the time we got to the car even though there is water all along the trail. 88 degrees at 7800', oooof. The only thing to do back at home was a naked pool party:

A dad and daughter from WI, on a hike in canyonlands, ran out of water and didn't make it out. Sad story.

Sad, but, like, you know what I haven't been doing in this weather? Hiking. Not much else either. Floated through town.

Cooling down this coming week in the Puget Sound. Hopefully that will flow inland.

It’s forecast to be in the mid 80s by Thursday in Wenatchee, that’s September temps.

I'd be sweating my balls off.
I prefer low 60's in the house and low 50's when I start my morning ride.

And Central OR highs forecast to drop 15-20* (to high 70s-low 80s) by end of the coming week. Hopefully will help the firefighting efforts in central Cascades.

'Coolcations' are the hot new thing for luxury summer travel. Instead of heading off to the South of France or Spain, for example, "chill seekers" or vacationing in places like Scandinavia or Ireland instead.

Surprised to see dollar generala along the central coast in Oregon. Def some white poverty here. The Bozeman bubble is real, you leave it and remember what reality is.

My luxury chillcation is grabbing cigs and Lotto tickets from dollar general sitting on the beach banging meth. Life is good.
