Great game. Maxey is the real deal. Kid gets better all the time and loves playing basketball. Hes the Anti-Simmons 76ers fans deserved !

Wemby is going to be an absolute beast in this league

Maxey is pure joy. Impressive he scored so much, 7 assists and only 1 turnover. Did not seem afraid to go at Wemby 1v1 late in the game too. RC4 also looked pretty amazing and hopefully gets an NBA contract for playoff eligibility. Future looks bright in San Antonio. It will be cool to see what they build around Wemby.

Danny Ainge is like the owner in Major League that wants the team to lose… Jazz will likely close out the season going 0-16 and have won 3 games since the trade deadline when we traded some solid players for 2nd round and late 1st round picks in the upcoming draft that is predicted to be bad….

Meanwhile, Rudy will likely get his 4th DPOY and Donovan Mitchell is still one of the best scorers in the league. Utah isnt a market like Boston and I question if ainge has Presti magic

As a Celtics fan, I think Ainge knows what he's doing.

I don’t know, they’re only going to win like 65 games. ;-). Only 15 games up on Milwaukee.

Many of us called it at the time, but man I didn’t expect to be *this* right about it being dumb to fire your coach and bring in Doc Rivers. Bucks look horrible.

Man the eastern conference is a bunched up clusterfuck right now. Seeds 2 -8 all in flux over the next 3 games. And now Giannis w the calf strain to further confuse things

Dubs killed the Lakers last night and now have a chance from going from the 10 spot to the 8. I think it’s pretty clear the play-in has been a huge success for end of the season excitement.

yeah, the play in and change to lottery rules have combined to make things much better in the last month of the season.

2023/2024 NBA THREAD: WHO WANTS TO GO ON PARADE?!?

The Bucks had the second best record in the league, fired their coach, hired Doc Rivers, and finished the season by going 17-19. lol...

I’m cautiously optimistic about the Warriors. Horrible start to the season but they had the 4th best record in the league after Feb 1. Still, with those loser goes home play-in games anything can happen.

I read an article today in which the author suggested that the Lakers should tank their play-in game against the Pelicans in order to avoid having to come to Denver for the first round since Denver has beaten them 8 times in a row

that's nuts, no way do you intentionally lose just so you can have the opportunity to get immediately bounced before the playoffs even start. Losing against the Nugs in a playoff series is better than losing to the Warriors in the second play-in game.

Agreed. And also agree with TahoeJ that the Bucks look kinda broken. While we are on TahoeJ, it seems like this might be the last great opportunity for Steph to put a team on his back and with a herculean effort single handled create a GSW hot streak for a round or 4. Might not be enough juice, but I think we've learned not to put anything past Curry at this point...

Pretty sure LeBron and the Lake Show are beyond that.

Yeah that’s a pretty dangerous move, especially since the Warriors just spanked the Lakers last week.

Cavs somehow position themselves (thankfully) on the right side of the Eastern bracket and get to host the Magic in round 1. Even then, this team is too beat up, too much in disarray for me to think they do anything remarkable in the postseason.
I still call it The Jake.

I feel like with the huge lead the Celtics built up in the conference those games meant a lot more to Milwaukee. This is just pure speculation but maybe Boston didn't want to reveal their potential post-season game plan against the team that until recently seemed like the biggest threat to them in the East.

Dubs played like hot garbage last night. Yeesh.

It was a bummer to see Zion exit a tied game with three minutes left - he was having a huge night and outplaying LeBron.
