Bought my pass along with the kiddos.
Ikouldnt bring myself to spring for the base ikon as much as I hate everything about it.

Fuck whoever decided midweek nights aren't necessary anymore.

Tempted to down grade from the LTD to the remedy. Only skied 2 week end days this year but the December blackout would suck. Maybe I can use the 2 friends and family tickets for my self.

Bought it for me and the kids.
20% increase is steep, but Seattle is rich, so I'm sure they are not concerned they will "lose" customers.
I certainly don't like losing Alpy Tuesday or the night skiing reduction, but it's still the place for me.
Added Ikon base for myself for spring Mt Bachelor skiing even though I felt bad doing it.

Not that you will need it but bachelor usually has a spring pass for very reasonable.

I'm doing Ikon (full) plus Remedy for me and Ikon for the family. A couple trips to Utah and one to Canada make it the best call. My kids each did less than 10 days at Snoqualmie this year, so the 7 days on Ikon will probably be enough. I may buy my daughter a Remedy pass so she can come with me on nights and go up with friends. Getting rid of Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Alpental is brutal for me. Those two days made up close to 50% of my Alpental days this year.

I pulled the trigger today on the Alpental Plus and the base Ikon - $1226 out the door. Ouch. But I did get a free BackBowl pass. Will I get a separate Ikon card or is it preloaded on my Summit card?

I think the latter is going to be the call for me too. I have to get full Ikon for the same reason, and I just don't see myself getting up there much more than 7 times. (reality is tough to face in this case...)

Question: On the friends and family discount you can send via ikon, can it go to an Ikon holder? I'd just pay for good days beyond the 7 and was wondering if a family member could send ME that discount?

I'm ok with some of the changes.
Saturday night skiing feels like a nice return (although should not be at the cost of wednesday night).
I'm excited for mondays. It's ridiculous that they aren't open 7 days a week midwinter. I don't care about powder Tuesdays - they suck now with techons.
I'm also excited for the new chair. More skiing, less lines.
The Ikon add on seems like a nice perk. It seemed like we were getting fucked by ikon with no benefits and 300 for a revy or mammoth trip is nice.
It does seem like MANY people will buy unlimited + Ikon add rather than crystal.
The parking sucks, but it also does limit ski capacity. Just show up at 815-830 and drink yer coffee. We're always empty on the vacation weekends since alpy isn't a destination.
Unpopular opinion: improve and make the maintenance lot for 3+ passengers. Make Hyak main lot for pass holders only

This year felt ok from a crowd perspective. Maybe it's because people wouldn't shut up about el nino and go ski

So patrol doesn't need a day off nor do lifties?
Trust me Mondays are the only day of the week many of my friends who work up there get to do anything but work for the man.
The mountain heals as well when it is given a rest but whatever bringvon the dump truck size moguls because you think it's ridiculous [emoji849]

The pipedeam would be for Summit to hire enough staff to adequately staff the place so that they arent constantly on an overworked skeleton crew. A few weeks ago when they opened late on a tuesday powday because they had to complete maintenance on Armstrong i was irked that it wasnt done on Monday when they were closed, but also realized that the singular lift mechanic, who may or may not live in the shack below sessel, did need a day off. Like i said, hopefully summit mgmt plans their staffing properly for the additional operations.

The price increase hurts, but was entirely forseable and IMO pretty justifiable from a business to bring the pricing on par with what its worth with the addon Ikon (i mean, im still buying a pass cause its still a better deal, all things considered, than stevens or xstal). But i am really bummed about the night skiing, especially if it doesnt revert to the previous schedule and i dont get to night ski with my kid on weekdays when he is old enough.

Almost $1400 for me and my kid hurts but it’s still better than sitting in gold bar at traffic lights for 2 hours on the way home. The price increase sucks but at least they are investing in the mountain. Still mad about the night skiing changes.

That's a word we don't use around here...

If we all make our voices heard about nights, maybe they'll make a change. Yeah, I don't think so either.

Unfortunately I have too many meetings in the morning, but should be up for an afternoon session on the padded seats tomorrow if anyone is around.

So "winter parking" still may involve a shuttle ride from Central on those days.
On a busy ski school weekend all the lots on the pass can be full by 10 am

As I understand it the problem is having to get the people to the tow yard, they would need an impound yard on the pass to make it work and you would need a large fleet of tow trucks and the tow companies have to be on the WSPs list and the mix of property ownership complicates things

Thanks for the tip! Didn’t notice that program until you mentioned it. Signed up for Boyne Rewards after I bought my passes and still got a $60 reward. Took a couple days to get the email after I signed up.

Agree. This was a pleasant surprise and took a bit of the sting out of the increased ticket pricing.

I skipped signing up when I bought my passes but just signed up. How did you get them to credit your pass purchases if you bought them before signing up for the rewards system? Was it automatic or did you have to contact them?

It didn’t credit my pass purchase. It gave me “Boyne Rewards” that I cashed out into a $60 Boyne gift card.

Took a day or so to get the email after I signed up.

Are pass purchases eligible for Boyne Rewards points? It appears that lift tickets and purchases on www.summitatsnoqualmie.com are eligible. If so, it would be pretty sweet to get 3700 points from my recent pass purchase. They say 500 points are worth $25. I'd love to get $185 worth of credit back from my families pass purchases.

I dropped about $1300 and got $60 so I imagine you’ll get a nice rewards card
