Unlike any Bobby tunes at shows I saw I actually paid attention and finished it in one sitting.

    Great read!

Never paid attention to Jack Straw? Really?

    ( OK, that's Weir/Hunter. Still. ;-)

Fun read, with links to several nice live versions.

I saw Billy and the Kids last night in Baltimore! I didn't know what to expect, and was pleasantly delighted. Well, besides the $17.00 can of beer. I had never heard "Boogie on Reggae Woman" live!

Posted on the ‘77 thread, but Wifey pulled the trigger, three nights at the Sphere, hotel next to the venue, VIP, etc, seats in 300 center (but not obstructed by soundboard).
Ridiculously expensive, but it’s our 20th Anniversary trip…

We were speculating how many people in the queue gave up when they saw the package prices.

Trigger pulled 6/22. Surprise early birthday present.

2 nights at the Venetian, 100 level tickets and the other tinkertoy crap they throw in and the cost pencils out I think.

Schindler, today was the hotel package sale, the Artist presale goes on sale Monday. Ticket prices actually aren't bad considering the venue and run.

    Either way, super stoked!

Venetian is pretty swanky. Yardbird has good chicken and waffles! Can't be cheap.

Yeah, when we added it all up the final amount actually made sense. I’ve got a couple free tickets from sky Miles and we’re making it a birthday weekend sans kiddo.

I am incredibly irresponsible when it comes to concerts and shows. I have purchased more than a few concert tickets and then either forgot about the shows, or didn't feel like going and blew them off. I would rather find myself in LV on the night of a show and then buy a ticket the day of. I bet that there will be tickets avail (at the venue, through a concierge, or other) for just about every show.

    SkyMiles? That is interesting.

No, the airfare was free using SkyMiles, not the concert tix.

Trying to get my childhood buddy/fellow Head to meet me in Vegas for one last go. We caught the Other Ones in Shoreline for the final shows of their first tour post-Jer and ruefully agreed 'no more.' We had seen the boys several times together growing up and felt a little let down at the time, despite fantastic acid, a great St. Stephen (which we had never seen live) and a pretty solid China Cat/Rider. In retrospect, it wasn't fair to expect the Grateful Dead, but at the time we were just bummed.

Now I'm old and don't give a shit. I just want to eat some weird stuff and laugh at Bobby's theatrics while punching the giant, one last time.

Will report back if I'm going. Would be super fun to meet some of you folks!

If it was JRAD I would possibly entertain the idea, but Dead and Slow makes me cringe from note 1.

I felt that way forever. Until I saw them last summer. Mayer blew the lid off of my skeptical mind.

I would even go so far as to say Bobby is a little unnecessary.
