Anyone want a GoPro Hero 3? It’s about 8-9yrs old and works fine. Pickup in Snoqualmie or can possibly meet at Alpental. Free. Don’t want to ship.

Didn't even make it to 6am before I90 closed. Sounds like this storm is kicking into high gear. My street was an ice skating rink in Issaquah.

props to Crystal patrol and ops for keeping Southback open C6 spinning despite absolutely nuking snowfall and 60 mph gusts on the upper mountain

let's see if this video embed works?

dunno why embed doesn't work, but here's a vid from today's empty mountain pow skiing: https://i.imgur.com/Kp1wlrg.mp4

It was fucking treacherous this morning getting off of Squak Mountain.

Once I'd started there was no going back uphill. Just tried to steer the toboggan.

That was there this weekend as well and likely the cause for South being closed for an extended period of time.

Pretty good crown across most of Employee housing as well

Made it to Stevens with my youngest today. NWAC and the snow report were showing NIL to 2” accumulation. We found boot deep cold-smoke everywhere, even some stashed of knee to thigh deep if you knew where to look. Wild Katz laps were deep and ongoing snow made for free refills. Didn’t get above single digit temps all day. Reminded me of skiing in LCC Got caught in the pass closure and didn’t get to home until about 7:30. My boy said this was the best day of skiing he ever had. Definitely one of my best at Stevens quality-wise.

Talked to someone in the main plaza carrying some Heritage Labs fatties, but didn’t catch a name. Figured it might be one of you kooks.

Wednesday was a day of days for a predicted drought year.

Left my job around turkey day and have been sniping most of the actual workers for the good storm/pow days when I can. The final fuck you that keeps giving

So while I’ve skied Crystal multiple times before, I’ve never once braved a weekend day. How F’ed are? We’re coming from Oly area.

Friends tried to shralp Snoqualmie yesterday and had to turn around from the traffic.

Its busy and degree of crowds is drastically related to conditions. This weekend doesn’t look like it’ll be too crazy up there.

Refrozen mashed potato mank up high, increasingly decent spring mush as you went lower. Looking a bit sporty around the base area though- bunch of bare spots opening up from running water and brown streaks showing up like a pair of old whitey tighties.

Already posted this in the Kastle thread yesterday but was able to edit and add some music. New Xmas gift GoPro. Fun to play around with, think I need a wider lens though.
