How are the road conditions between Portland and Meadows? Also how are the conditions at Meadows today? Debating going up on Saturday but not sure if it is worth it.

From tripcheck cams, it's looks to be wet until about the chain up area. I84 looks icy still

Gonna try my new Blaze 106's in the mush

Great day at Bachelor today, if you stick to the groomed runs. It was actually spring skiing. The runs started corning up in the afternoon. 41 degrees in the WV parking lot at 3:30.

Low traffic on the hill, that was nice. Off trail was variable. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Conditions at T line were okay. More sun and less sleet than expected. Temps were hovering right at freezing point. Firm snow and no sense going off the groom.

It's looking like sleet tomorrow, but who knows, with this weather being so unpredictable lately.

Just got invited to Bend for some Bachelor skiing, heard about this ice storm on the radio, and wondering if its even worth the trip? Would be leaving tomorrow skiing Wednesday with some intermediate friends, then possibly solo into the weekend.

Would make the drive for average conditions, but if its terrible I still have time to make an excuse.

Conditions are at least average although that may still be only on piste depending on what happens. That’s pretty normal though.

Snow quality, visibility & low hill traffic made for some day to remember riding. Red sticks ftw.

Well, red skis are the fastest.

Yup, no idea how the snow came in so light and dry this AM, but it was an exquisite dusting and blow-in. Skied like a hot knife thru butter

And tomorrow it goes to shit

That extra 2000 feet of elevation sure is nice isn’t it? It was nice and schmooey at the SchmooDoo this afternoon. Oddly enough the south facing breakable crust was some of the most enjoyable off piste skiing.

Now I’m out here enjoying the full moon and calm before the ~storm~ *drenching*.

As long as you have no days under snow, you should be good.

Good News - NWX is being prepped to run soon!

Bad News - the electric motor failed yet again, so get used to slow rope speeds and the smell of diesel
