Clear as a bell on my sunset dog walk.

    Skiings held up amazingly well.
Sad to say, but we might be the best in North America.

    Have fun, be safe!

I found a few more pieces of gravel yesterday.

That said, if you're careful you can ski some good snow still.

NE aspects on the top of the mountains seem to be the most OK.

Nice to see SOMETHING on the forecast though. Nothing impressive yet, but at least it won't be going backwards

I’m ripping high speed groomers early at Snowmass every day.

Then I take the dogs for a run.

Today I picked the wife up after her workout and we finished off at Highlands.

The skiing was good, the weather was spectacular.

Tonight’s another night at the Belly Up.

Neil Francis was really good. Next Wednesday is the Record Company.
    Highly recommended.

    Snowmass is still pretty good.

Caught Neil on the last stop of his Francis Comes Alive tour with the 11 piece on Sunday. Was fricking awesome. Glad you got to see him again as I thought you had other plans.

    Who is calling 11”?

OpenSnow’s Aspen forecast calls 2” on Aspen, 6” on Snowmass, through Monday:

“The first round of light snow showers will arrive during the second half of Thursday. They could then continue into Friday, with snow totals ranging from a dusting to maybe 1-3 inches.

Following a slight break on Saturday, with single-digit temps, we'll be tracking a more potent system for Sunday and possibly into Monday. This storm will really focus on the southern mountains of Colorado but we should be able to squeeze out a few inches of very fluffy snow.

Even though we won't receive significant snow through the weekend, conditions should slowly improve.”

Local buddy is signed up for power of two but his teammate just hurt his knee. My friend asked me to join the fun as a sub, only problem is that I split board. Anybody know if that will cause issues come race day? My buddy says no.

I’m only concerned about it somehow being against the rules (can’t find info on the website). I don’t care about looking like an idiot (my SOP, anyway) or the extra suffering that will undoubtedly ensue.

    Thanks!

It was up on the 10 day from Open Snow for a hot second. They tempered the outlook to 5". But yeah, I just look at that and say, hey, it may snow a bit more than not...

Seems they are pretty bullish on next week though... which I'll take, 'cause optimism lol.

7” at Snowmass is suspect. I’ll probably show up at 8:35 and head straight to High Alpine.

Confusing report as Aspen’s stake is showing more than Snowmass, but a gift nonetheless

Supposedly, Snowmass has 8” up top. Ajax now has 7” up top.

We get these storms from time to time...

snowmass has like nothing at the base, 5" at the knob and 10" up top...

Aspen's stake is at 11k so if it is really elevation driven, etc....
