That was much needed. Nice and light - perfect for skiing with the kids.

    Today was really good!
Today was great. Blew away expectations. Hit the lower Hanging Valley Glade gate off Cookies with like 2 tracks in there besides ours. Coverage was great ,much better than expected. Highlands tomorrow w the 10 yo.

Boys were psyched and actually skied the untracked really well.

Scooted over to Ajax for some afternoon leftovers that weren’t too bad either

Does anyone have any tips on.getting from Snowmass to Buttermilk via RFTA? The page says take the SM route , but it looks like that just stops at Hwy 82 and Buttermilk. Am I missing something on how to get from there to the actual base area , esp with a 6 year old in boots?

It’s not any further than most of the parking spots on the way in.

    This storm saved Christmas.
Snowmass ski area was amazingly empty, but the hoards have descended onto the village.

The cold may stem some of them early, but I bet tomorrow’s busy.

Call over to Surefoot Aspen or the boot guy at the base of Highlands.

I’m at 4Mountain Snowmass Mall right now.
    Jack doesn’t have a Cochise,
but he probably can make something work.

Pretty freaking cold today, but the boys skied their first “official” black diamond, so we’ll take it

Skied this afternoon on Highlands. It was empty. Still some decent snow around

Thanks Shredhead. He didn't have anything last night but mentioned someone asked him and he would check at home . On the way to Ajax now with the boy so will check when we get back

Highlands was dead Monday and snowmass upper lifts empty yesterday ,likely because it was freezing. Snow holding up nicely

Waiting on line for a lunch lap at the bucket… it was maybe 5 minutes… a little different.

The line at Ajax tavern is another story lol

The biggest mystery to both all of us and likely this guy is where his day was spent on the 25th between his first $6k tab at 12.25pm and then his second tab walkout at 10:22pm.

Like the way he just kept the train rolling until the 26th. And still chugging the stolen wine while talking to the cops. A+ bender .

No coke charge, no minors involved, most dissapoint. This brah is Lesh wannabe.

GSA is alive and getting tired. The gondi was a nice aspirational touch. Props.

I did update my gansta thug booze culture though on the choice of weapon.
