^^^^^Article from Nov 2022 and most of that was saved by some sense of sanity. But ya, frightening what those thugs still have planned.
It's on the level of ISIS. They really will try to hang Pence.

Off-duty officer charged with involuntary manslaughter after shooting at fellow officer, Fairfax County police say

McCLEAN (AP) — An off-duty U.S. Park Police officer fatally shot another off-duty officer in a Virginia apartment in what local authorities are describing preliminarily as an unintentional shooting involving alcohol.

Fairfax County detectives determined that the officer pulled the trigger on a gun he believed was unloaded early Sunday, striking Jesse Brown Hernandez inside an apartment in McLean, Virginia, according to a police statement.

DV homicides are almost always preceded by a history of DV complaints and charges. Of course, there is also false reports. So, due process is key, but this is a case where there is a reasonable exception. Pulling someone's rights to 2A in case of a DV restraining order is like the 1A exception where you cannot falsely cry "fire" in a crowded theater.

It’s going to be tricky tying this one to mental health…or any logical approach other than actual gun control designed to reduce the number of guns available.

Maybe one of the ammosexuals here can make that link to something other than effective gun control.

It would be interesting to find out who originally purchased that firearm…

Today at a local Orange County walking trail park some asshole shot someone else's dog. 25 pound dog slipped their collar and ran up to another dog. That dog's owner pulled out a gun and shot the loose dog before the owner could get close enough to grab the dog. God what a bunch of chickenshits you ambisexuals are..

Guarantee every single asshole defending this action carries a gun everywhere all the time.. The person telling the incident says the owner was running towards the situation calling the dog's name and BANG! It wasn't like there was no other option. Thirty more fucking seconds to separate the animals..

That is a very poor comparison. There are many differences in those two examples. The limitation on not yelling fire in a theater isn't taking rights away from anyone. Its a stipulation on the use of those rights. A better comparison to the not yelling fire in a theater is that you aren't legally allowed to discharge a firearm for target shooting or hunting within city limits.

Also, just curious, you say due process is key, but these red flag laws ALWAYS bypass due process. Are you advocating for red flag laws that require due process to effectuate? That would be a new thing.

^^^^Nobody's taking away EVERYONES' guns either. We want common sense regulations about where you can and can no take your gun.. assuming you are legally allowed that right. Not everyone over 18 everywhere is allowed to vote either..

Are you saying red flag laws and temporary restrictions of access to firearms due to protective/restraining orders are the same?

Red flag laws are for people that have documented mental health and/or violent behavior problems.

RO/PO the burden of proof is on the person seeking the order. It’s not an automatic order just because someone makes an allegation.

Are you for or against red flag laws and temporary restrictions of firearms for people that have a DV restraining/protective order?
