No pics but while chatting with some friends (instead of hanging rain gutters) I saw a Peregrine fly right overhead. They're not uncommon in Vermont but I've never seen one before today. This was after seeing the biggest Redtail I've ever seen perched on a road sign in Keene, NH after grabbing all of my gutter parts from the Home Depot there. Again no pics because I was being tailgated by a Masshole who was in a big hurry to get somewhere on a pleasant Sunday morning.

    Wildlife

Too slow to the draw for pics, but was a second or two from getting plowed over on my bike by a moose and calf coming out of the woods on a ride from our campsite.

Yesterday, while driving home from our road trip, we came around a bend on a back road to a herd of bighorns. There were over a dozen young ones and they went ripping along the 45 deg side slope. Damn impressive.

    Super cool.

I rescue all spiders, even the black widow that lived under my wife's desk (without her knowledge).

Black Widows die if they come into my vision. Immediately. Everyone else is good to move on with their day.

Had a cool wildlife experience last week. I did a dawn swim in Lake Washington and there were several ospreys flying overhead. At one point we were stopped and an osprey swooped down near the water just a few feet away from us. Not sure if he was checking us out or saw a fish!

Before we started the swim a beaver also swam by.

That’s so neat to have seen the osprey dive from that angle.
We have a nest along our dog walking route in my neighborhood and we love watching them fish.
It’s cool when you see them with “fish on” too

I met this bruin on my AM run in Mammoth the other day. fortunately there was a plank and cable fence between us, not that that would have really stopped him. This shot was taken with my phone and no telephoto lens. I could have reached through the fence and scratched his furry butt.

they come out of their holes at a certain elevation of the foothill trails in the fall to look for mates. Not unusual to see them but the hills aren't crawling with them either. I haven't heard of them going in houses but I don't live in the foothills. I would be shocked to see one at my house.
