Explored some corporate history disguised as a flat groomed trail. It would be interesting if Powdr revisits the idea in the future, as they have pumping a lot of money into Killington recently.

Got to ride the new Sunshine 6 at Stowe today. Lots of stops and slow-downs. Working out the kinks or just a bunch of gapers? Regardless, according to my calculations, the new six pack has the same uphill capacity as the fourrunner (the six pack loads every 9 seconds vs every 6 seconds for the fourrunner).

Also… Evidently, all the testing in the world can’t simulate people unweighting the chairs as they unload. Apparently, that sudden unweighting causes the safety bar to drop back down. On our first ride up, we noticed a couple of chairs heading down with the bar down. For the rest of the day, there was a lift op standing at the unload point making sure the bar didn’t drop back down.

I spoke to a lift op later in the day and he said they plan to tighten the springs on the safety bars tonight.

Tightening your springs is always a good idea but I thought that was something us old folk need to do more often, not a brandy new lift.

Doesn't the hiking trail still cross? I feel like it's just above shelter on Pico, some of those views look familiar. may be thinking of the trail to Pico peak though.

Just got back last night from the ravine/Conway for AIARE 1. Highly recommend doing the course if you haven’t. It was very interesting and really makes you think and ask questions, as well as increases situational awareness.

Couldn’t of asked for two better guides/instructors and the weather was great, minus the sharky snow pack.
