Another example of corporate legal speak that amuses me. The can at the bottom of chair lifts at Olympic Valley previously labeled "catch net" is now labeled "deceleration net". I guess some lawyer figured they'd be open to a lawsuit if someone fell off the chair and the net didn't catch them but just slowed them down. BTW, is anyone aware of any successful deployments of the catch net at N American ski resorts?

The Great Sprinter Migration has begun! My work is next door to a Harvest Host, which is like a friendly overnight birdhouse for these fancy experiential-focused consumers. I love spotting them perching overnight, sleeping late almost always, and showing their bright MaxTrax and RotoPax plumage in full view. I haven't seen one in months before this and now I've spotted at least 4 in a week!

What's really amusing is how fucking sketchy the gravel parking lot their designated camp is in. Needles, petty theft, constant roaming homeless people, piles of human shit and much more are all part of this Harvest Host location. And if you have dogs - there's tons of goatheads there. I'm dying to see the reviews of this place because it's BAD.

Glad to hear the masses are starting to move on. I was just over in AZ. Some of my favorite off the radar spots have been overrun by vans and "boondockers" in massive RVs running generators all night.

This could also go in the Annoy You thread. People on FB that respond to the posts that say things like "I am 103 years old today and nobody wished me a happy birthday because I have nobody" with a picture of a granny with a birthday cake with a 103 candle in front of her. What is the purpose of these types of posts and how stupid are you to think they are real?

A friend of mine was posting all last week that her 33rd was Saturday. Saturday she posted her own happy birthday post, complete with a link to her Amazon wishlist.

    I promptly unfriended the narcissist.

& voted 4th alternate most beautiful

    Looking 'round the room
    I can tell that you
Are the most beautiful girl in the... room
In the whole wide room (ooh)
And when you're on the street
    Depending on the street
I bet you are definitely in the top three
Good lookin' girls on the street, yeah
    Depending on the street, ooh
And when I saw you at my mate's place
I thought "What is she doin at my mate's place?"
How did Dave get a hottie like that to a party like this?
    Good one, Dave
    Ooh, you're a legend, Dave
I ask Dave if he's gonna make a move on you
He's not sure, I said "Dave, do you mind if I do?"
He says he doesn't mind but I can tell he kinda minds
But I'm gonna do it anyway
I see you standing all alone by the stereo
I dim the lights down to very low, here we go
    You're so beautiful (beautiful)
You could be a waitress (mm)
    You're so beautiful (beautiful)
You could be an air hostess in the '60s
    You're so beautiful
You could be a part time model
And then I seal the deal
I do my moves, I do my dance moves
    Both of my dance moves
    Ah, ha, oh
    Ha, ha, oh
It's 12:02, just me and you
And seven other dudes around you on the dancefloor
I draw you near, let's get out of here
Let's get in a cab, I'll buy you a kebab
I can't believe that I'm sharing a kebab with the most beautiful girl I have ever seen
    With a kebab, ooh
    Why don't we leave?
Let's go to my house and we can feel each other up on the couch
Oh, no, I don't mind takin' it slow, oh, oh, no, oh, oh, yeah, yeah
    'Cause you're so beautiful
    Like a tree
    Or a high class prostitute
    You're so beautiful
Mm, you could be a part time model
But you'd probably still have to keep your normal job
    A part time model
Spending part of your time modelling
And part of your time next to me
And the rest of your time doin' your normal job, ooh
My place is usually tidier than this
