I have seen both and like the V60 better but i need the V90 size. I got a good qoute on repainting the V70R as the clear coat is shitting the bed. Once painted i should be good for another 5 years

Alright some anecdotal; I’m out at a lake house getaway. Everybody brought their “utility” vehicle options (packing kids and goods). 2 Jag SUVs one Grand Cherokee and my Cayenne. All came with 20s stock. ..and mine is a ‘15. Others are newish. I bumped up to 22s 2 years ago and I detest when I have to go back to my blizzack 20s for winter bc I loose a lot of my cornering ability and pedal feel. Flat out. Then understand every new 911 comes with 20s and ballers go to 21 HREs or the like.
Next a prominent mag made a bright decision lately on a ‘21 Cayenne, and he ordered 21” graphite wheels on the build sheet I saw. Personally don’t know his age but sure he’s got a boomer joke or two thrown his way. Catch up man

Formula 1 just went to 18 inch rims from 13 inch rims which they used for 25 years and Indycar went from 15 to 18. Nascar uses 15’s A larger sidewall tire is also better for bumpy roads and preventing bent rims. But you ballers are all getting racy in your wagons with 22’s and “big brakes”. Nascar is 3200 pounds dry so..

IMSA GT is 18 inch rims. Puny little brakes.

Saying your 22 inch summer tires handle better than 20 inch Blizzaks? No kidding..

Rim size is a dick size proxy

Low profiles suck. One pothole and your baller rims are toast.
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

You got some evidence to back that up or do you just ride your 70 series and float thru life? Been running plus size wheels for 20 years. Doesn’t have to be lowest pro. I’m constantly running 3% diameter over stock delivery. How many wheels have I replace? .. zero. One cosmetic lip bend. Professional heat and mend— done.

What is your argument exactly.. that you know better than all the manufacturers who are offering these vehicles? But go ahead and latch on to that word ‘Baller’. Boomer

Yeah the manufacturer has no stake in market value. Are you daft man. Just because the manufacturer sells it that way doesn't mean it's better that way. Profit wins. Practical is a pastime.

The manufacturers do it because consumers demand it. Not for performance.

    18 is standard on traverse

18 is likely standard issue on volvo but that is not a "standard volvo"

I can’t multi quote for some reason but holeee shit.. Sale price off the lot is market value. And I’ll be danmed if the manufacturers are going to send out a vehicle that causes them issues and bleeds money on warranty fucking their bottom line. And if the new hat ass rides don’t drive better with bigger wheels how could they command 120k+ for them?! Just grab some water. 17 are bitchin man

I’m not naive that there’s some diminishing factors when you push the limits, but, look at the RS6. The holee grail . You’re just behind the times.

Over the years I have hit my fair share of gnarly potholes, so I do appreciate a little more sidewall and my boy racer days are behind me, so big wheels and barely there tires don't matter to me.
That said, from reading the Volvo Forums, seems like the larger rim sizes get more complaints than the standard 18" for a V90CC
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Wheel insurance is extra. Wheels not covered by warranty.

Bigger wheels for bigger brakes is a thing. Bigger wheels because they look cool is a thing. In 1999 I took a set of 17 inch wheels with 225/40 tires tires to a shop and the guy said he didn't know if he could get them mounted.

It's all about wheel gap, filling those massive arches with something that looks good.

Depends what you are doing. I like a gap so I can remove the ice build up when driving on slushy roads. No gap and your eventually fucked.

GMC Tahoe Denail my sister just bought. 22's. should be a nice bill for tires soon. Was a used ride and the tires are nearing EOL. I always thought narrow tires were better in snow? I mean thats about the only time the Denali is going to be put in 4wd anyway amririte?

Narrow with high sidewall is best in snow. Snow tires are more important than tire size/profile, though.

of course of course...snows are better for sure. I just used to recall guys who drove larger tires on their trucks in summer would swap out to narrow in winter, especially plow guys.

You're not wrong, but that Volvo is gonna look really weird with pizza cutters on it.
