^I like Firestone's offerings, but they pulled out of New England. Probably a smart business decision.

The lighting in my house sucks.

That said, it was crisp with just a hint of citrus and a mellow, but lingering spicy bitterness. I enjoyed it.

Have yet to have anything from Breakside that sucks.

I don't normally go for style mash-ups or fruity anything (except sours), but this one is a hit. The North Fork's Is it to the sky IPA

American IPA brewed with pilsner malt, wheat malt and flaked oats. Whirlpool and double dry hopped with Chinook, Cashmere and Idaho 7. Fermented on whatcom county raspberries and kumquats.

I don't have a dishwasher at the moment, so I drink 99% of my beers out of the bottle/can. I hate doing dishes.

That being said, if you like fruited sours, this one is worth seeking out. I think cherry goes so nicely with a sour base beer. Delightful sipper that is also refreshing.

    Picco Pils
South Lake Brewing Co, South Lake Tahoe, CA
    ABV: 5.3%
    Hops: Tettnang, Callista, Saphir
    IBU: 35

Man, the pilsner game has been strong amongst the local (and many not-so-local) breweries. This one is clean and smooth and has just the right hint of spice on the tongue and bitterness on the finish.

I've been waiting patiently for Pilsners to come into vogue for about 5-6 years now. I'm stoked to see it is finally happening. Sounds like it's going to be a good summer.

I miss the Park City Brewing Imperial Pilsner greatly. Wasatch has a new imperial pilsner that's pretty decent though, next time you find yourself in Utah.

    Those other beers thread

They’re both really nice. Scratches the itch for the crispness of a pils and the hoppiness of an ipa.

Nice. I saw it but bought this one instead. It's pretty damn good but not real crisp. Click image for larger version.
