In spring as a 21/22 pass. But you’d need to pay the difference in pass price.

I send out an email to see if I can get any info about when and how passes will go on sale. Last year they only let me know like 5 days before passes went on sale.

VTeton - if your friends go the route of buying passes for 21/22, I can get them discount codes through the group buy if alterra allows the program next year.
This is from their web site

If I defer my 20/21 Ikon Pass to 21/22 with Adventure Assurance, am I eligible for early spring access in 21/22?

Any 20/21 Ikon Pass holder who defers their pass to 21/22 will be eligible for all Ikon Pass benefits for winter 21/22, including spring skiing in 2021.

Since we have until April 11th to defer do you think the 21/22 pass will go on sale April 12th?

I think they chose that date because your 21/22 pass will be eligible for spring skiing at Alterra locations starting April 12th.

This based on what has happened in previous years.

It looks like Snowbrains updated an article from 2016.
I don't know if they are jumping the gun with inside information or just speculation.

I don't see anything on Ikon's site yet.

There is no mention of reservations anywhere on their website or FAQ. I wonder if some resorts will leave that in place. I could see Jackson doing it to limit visitation, but I only see that leading to pitchforks and torches from IKON customers.

Edit about reservations, I missed the one FAQ that addressed it:

The decision regarding whether reservations will be required for the 21/22 winter season will be made by each Ikon Pass destination individually and will be based on circumstances at the time. Details regarding the 21/22 winter season will be announced as they unfold.

Ikon website updated. passes go on sale March 11

I am waiting for the details on the Group Buy and should have that info later this week.

Very likely there will be a discount for NEW pass holders. RENEWs will likely still benefit the Group in the same way as last year, which I can not publicly publish. When I get the confirmed details I'll start a 21/22 Group Buy thread and link it from here.

Sugarbush and Solitude Spring Benefits start April 5th
CA resorts & Winterpark March 12th

And yes, Unlimited Crystal now requires the Full Pass. Still can get 5 days on Base.

    Renew Prices - $899 Full, $649 Base. Add JH/Aspen for $150
    New - $999 Full, $729 Base. Add JH/Aspen for $150

Last year the NEW purchase Group Buy rate offered discounts on Adult and Young Adult Full ad Base Passes. It did not work on the ADD JACKSON BASE PASS. Again, I do not yet have details for this year and will share once I have them. This is just for planning purposes.

$100 off Child Pass w/ purchase of Adult Pass - currently they do not show and end date for this but last year you had to do this before April 12th

0% down, 0% finance for 6 months w one payment a month. Can finance for 1 year, but that has a finance rate.

btw, if you ski Steamboat and don't want the IKON pass for $999, you can pay $1500 instead and get a Steamboat Only Pass

No, they're all still there -- Brighton is listed under the 7 day (or 5 day), but not alphabetically. Alta/Bird is listed under the combined ski area section.

Nope. Not yet. ikon still working out details. Was told I'd hear before they go on sale, so expect them to email at 10pm on the 10th.

I'll post up a 21/22 Group Buy thread as soon as I know the details.

In the meantime, pretty sure you will need to send me your [redacted]. So you can gather that info from yourself, friends and family.

Likely Group Buy will discount New pass purchases. Renew pass purchases will just hep out the Group in the way it did last year. Likely. Details when I have them.

Oh - something I have learned doing this. If you have a pass this year, but not sure if you plan to Renew, get a code. Lots of people tried to get codes after the end of August last year, but they stopped generating them. Codes still worked if you had them. A few people did not Renew by the renew date, and could have benefitted front he code when they bought in September.

BTW, they have Assurance again this year, but deferral date is in December. Same deal as this year for Covid closures.

I'm reading you only add 150 to base. Full gets you those places? That's the case last year and made it kind of dumb to add. 729+150 is 879. Another 20 for full and no blackouts and 7 not 5 days at each.

You too huh? Nice to know I am not alone.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
