Had to google it, that’s 3 hours southwest of me. I live in the north country. It’s past the upstate line. Just a bit north of it. But you can’t get there from here.

But The Upstate is a thing not a place. It's an attitude. A cultural thing, a visual thing, an entity unto itself... It can be anywhere from here to there as long as it's not in PA or OH or the Berkshires backwoods or heaven forbid south of Exit 15. I vote to include places like Malone and Ogdensburg because they fit.

Oh and yeah, you live in the middle of fucking nowhere so it might count too.
