That’s an acceptable excuse, you don’t know where he is.

@Aldo do you have the plow on your truck? Cmon up50 minutes from your shop to here. Actually we're on the way out to the ortho now so we'll see what's what in a few hours. I'll txt you when I know more. Thanx bro.
I can feel how cold that picture is.
I still call it The Jake.
A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.
I know that picture is real because he’s not wearing a hat.
He’s harder than the cold.

My wife can’t figure out why I never wear hats. This is why. It is also why I have to wear sunglasses any time someone turns on a 100w bulb.

In midst of a discussion on whether or not to put a new engine in a 99 Cherokee sport 4.0 that melted down on a customers daughter shortly after she purchased it;
" I'm moving to upstate NY soon for a job and I really don't know if I should fix this truck or look into something else"
" Oh, cool, So, Uh, Just curious here, where will you be in NY"
" Rhinebeck "
Again - just data points - and I would make sure we understand this is an outsiders opinion - we can't truly ascertain this concept without as much data as possible....
Don't think Utica Club is on her mind though... certainly was on my mind after the very long conversation...
Does Rhinebeck still do airshows? As a kid, I recall seeing Snoopy and the Red Baron dogfighting.
This might be a good time to do a Hemi 392 transplant in that '99 Cherokee. Turn it into a real sleeper for that girl. She'll need that power to cut across 4 lanes of Taconic at those at-grade intersections up there.

How good of nick is that Cherokee in? I'm sure you are well aware that those things have quite the following these days, even without a running engine.
Tell her dad you'll toss it up on BaT for a nominal fee, and then sell her something more appropriate, like a barn-find AMC Eagle with "some" issues.

@TR I think they do still do airshows and stuff at the old Aerodrome. Rhinebeck is a cool little town, artsy with a couple of cool eateries. There are vineyards and distilleries all around the area and it's farm stand country. The views are huge, depending on where you are around town you could be looking at three different mountain ranges and or the Hudson River. There's great mt, gravel and road riding and skiing is close in two directions. If you need to be in the Hudson Valley it's a hot spot.
Yeah, I don't think I'd be unhappy living there.

I'm having a hard time picturing you NOT being unhappyI think I'd push just a hair further north into Columbia County where property taxes are at least 30% lower and gas taxes are too. It's also that much closer to better skiing and riding. Hudson is a great town (other than it being a Sanctuary City) with a vibrant downtown main street and Valatie is small and cool.
Hudson is also kind of a shit hole with a real ghetto. They made a fatal mistake way back of building the project at the river end of town with the best view of the Catskills. The town has been saved by the gay antique dealers (always follow the gays when buying), but there's not much they can do about that ghetto. The only place to eat in all of Columbia county, though. There's nothing inland from the river. That's why Rhineback is more attractive. But, more expensive.
Actually I always come back to New Paltz as a cool place to live.
You mean the races? They went off last year with no spectators.
Does upstate still have OTB parlors?
