Well, the snow, or if you dare call it that, sucked, so yeah. But, as my buddy always says, any hill with a fresh foot is great.

Gawd, this sucks so bad. I got my first day in a week ago at Hunter with all that snow, thought, well, ok, I could live with that, better than nuthin', at least I'll get outside and get some fresh air, and now, not even New Years, and it's all fucking gone. I was supposed to to the Dolomites, and now Vermont is like a distant land.

    Poor kid.
A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

Benny, this is the Upstate thread, not the ECRC, let’s keep it light man, mkay?

It’s not the Dolomites, but go west, instead of north. HV has good coverage right now.
I still call it The Jake.

I’ve heard E’ville called lots of things, including, but not limited to, Breckinridge, Ohio, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard it called Hillbilly, Aspen.

those WPA-era bridges were built like battleships.
Those Robert Moses designs were essentially to keep public buses and the unwashed masses aka black, poors and immigrants who lacked cars from recreating in the moneyed areas.

Need to go further Western NY. Was dumping 10 to 12 inches since Thursday at a few of the resorts. It will not be Vermont and definitely not the Dolomites, but snow can be found. Not as big of a dump as Christmas of 2017 though.

I've said this before, but pizza determines the line.

And I understand it is the journey, not the destination that counts, but, shit, it's almost 2021.

Who cares what year it is, this is a question for the ages we're working on here.

Look it up. It has "character". I drove through there back in the late 90's because the stories about the place were pretty fucked up. I think it was 2006 that they blocked the road in and out because the people would chase cars and throw rocks and shit.

I feel like there are lots of places like that scattered around. I think I remember hearing about a “Denny Mountain” out near Postenkill someplace. The implication was that everyone that lived there was related to the original dude (named Denny)
