Snuck up to lookout for some after work laps. Snow this weekend came in warm and set up quickly. Super fun in the trees and areas less ventured. Less fun out in the open.

Oh man Slivvver skied guud today.

Mid chair 2 to top has really good coverage!! Full on sender conditions. Below that cat track through the park was noticeably more thin..

The snow was really fun, dense but not wet at all, you could load your ski up with all sorts of energy and pop to the next turn. Killer purchase!!

Schwizz was soft, fun, coverage questionable on southern aspects. A soft touch required in spots.

That was about a 3 on the Death Crust Scale. After the 3rd beer it turned into more of a straightline breakable crust.

Snow at Silver stayed in pretty good shape. Should be another good day tomorrow! I just heard they are opening chairs 3 and 5 tomorrow too. Hopefully will spread out some of the beginners clogging up the cat tracks near the base of Chair 2.

    Woah... wwwoooaaahhh!!

Was not expecting today to be great; but damn did it blow away my expectations.

Met up with @bourban and a non-mag at base around 8:00. At that time the ‘rona box line was back to the donut shack.

Buckled up and dropped in we were pleasantly surprised to see chairs spinning at 8:35-40.

All the usual stuff by chair 2 was in and skiing really well!

Then right at 9:30 they opened, gate 1/north face glades and sunset! Easily 1.5-2’ of primo density base building snow with some “heft”!!

Goats were to tool and they slayed!

    2013/14 Inland PNW thread

Today was waaaay better than I expected. Rolled to the gondi at the crack of 930 and was greeted by a line past the ticket booth. Got up top by 10ish by making line moves.
Rolled on the new bionic Achilles down to the bottom of two to meet up with with the SkiLyft crew.
Promptly rolled some unreal carveable snow for 3 hrs non stop. Bionic leg felt killer but didn’t want to push it so stayed on more groomed side runs. Ventured with them on the bottom of moonshine and got more than I gambled for. Deep snow with some added brush pockets. Different skis and more confidence would have helped as those guys cruised right down it.
All in all a kickass first day back on skis and with killer peeps as well.

Excellent day at the northern foggy basin, 4" windbuffed cream cheese or 8" or so of really nice heavy wind deposit. Think I saw goldmember but wasn't certain. You on Nordicas and rolling with a guy on x96 w/forzas? Shroom and the other usual suspects were present and accounted for.

Colburn Triple opened up, but with most gates closed. People predictably pushed terrain via traversing upstream, and a skier triggered slide occurred in the main bowl. Gates got gated.

Front side laps commenced with surprisingly good skiing despite the low coverage.

Skied till 2:50pm when tired legs dictated it was time.

Wardner peak opened this afternoon at Silver! Untracked laps till the chair closed at 3:15pm. Snow was dense and heavy but still a blast. Hiked once and then the traverse opened and lapped that a few more times. Pics from my last lap up there around 3pm. The gondola conga line to get off the mountain at the end of the day was a bit of a buzzkill but overall another super fun day.

Gonna have to meet up with the rest of you Mags up there one of these days!

No, not me. Probably my buddies Bob and Dan. Bob's on Nordica and Dan on x96 but not sure about forzas. Pivots for sure. I was on x96 with Barons.

We got some great untracked until about 10 when the crowds hit. Skied until 11:15, took an early lunch then went out the gate off the triple for a couple laps hiking. It was really good! Beautiful afternoon, good day all around.

Great skiing with SkiLyft and 2funky today! Chair 4 popped right as you guys left and gave us 3 more laps of springy untouched pow. Like SkiLyft said, a real sleeper day given the mediocre snow report
