This is a real bummer and I’m so glad that nobody was seriously hurt. Hopefully this is a major wake up call for the new ownership of both mountains to seriously invest in new lift infrastructure.

    Doo it!

New #2 at the windy hill is looking good, excited to have it spinning by Christmas...
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

    I'm not.

Just trying to spread hope and positive thoughts in these tumultuous times.

So I grew up skiing Mt Spokane and am considering coming back for the winter. I live in Europe now and all lifts are closed, could be that way all year. How’s the skiing up there nowadays? Would buy a midweek and ski five days a week.

I last skied Mt Spokane in 1995, back then the bottom half of it was a Hollywood test piece!

Silver was pretty busy today (by Silver standards) Snow was variable and still thin in quite a few places. Chair 2 broke down and I got stuck on it for about 30 minutes. Skied about an hour and a half and called it a day. Hopefully we’ll get some snow this week! Itching to ski the rest of the mountain.

    2013/14 Inland PNW thread

Went for a walk to the top of Mt Spoke today...

Woah, coverage is super thin and there is a gnarly rain crust all the way to the top.

Anyways, looks like lots of precip is in the forecast so things should turn around quick.

    To walk up? Yikes.

Looking like I’ll be on the snow at Silver for the first time since torching my Achilles last feb this coming Saturday, if we get enough snow this week. Pretty excited but I’ll be in super chill mode. Be good to see familiar faces on the hill again.

Yeah, pretty stupid, but whatever, money goes to a local hill that I’m sure can use it after all the ups and downs over the last year.

Hell yeah brother, stoked! I’ll be there.

Still haven’t picked up my Silver pass, but I’ll come out for this event! Looks like things will fill in a bit this week. Stoked to see ya on skis again 2funky!
