No, weren't window to window, that would be pushing it. That shoulder isn't that wide. They were about 200 yards apart. Mad Max setup. Radar and then pursuit. So, beware, they're clocking people on that bridge. Big electronic signs everywhere announcing speed limit.

But I just don’t find Dinosaur that special. Sorry, I know those are fighting words. Don’t mean anything by it.

Timberridge is convinced the Seneca Casino is COVID-central and best to get cheap smokes across the Expressway.

Also, if we don’t get an Ellicottville TR we’re all going to be very disappointed.

Can you stop by Shifty's in Syracuse and see if my picture is still in the Hall of Foam for completing their world tour of beers? It's been 30 years.

They're doing that at all of the places where there used to be toll booths because they have all that extra room now, the lanes are wider than they've ever been and the roads are all nice and smooth so people are hauling ass through what's supposed to be lower speed zones.

My things have changed in 30 years. The first, and only time, I did one of those beer tours was at the Winking Lizard back in Ohio and you had crack 50 to get a small prize and 100 if you wanted the sweatshirt/jacket. It was rough since I was only there for visits throughout the year. I got the sweatshirt.

Made tolerating the in-laws a lot easier though.

In a way it's kind of absurd, because there's so much tech out there, especially on that brand new bridge, to just nail speeders with cameras and sensors, and save the manpower for harassing drivers of color.

    BMills,
What sort of BAC does a 50 beer flight lead too?

I vaguely recall the days of 10 cent 5:00-6:00pm beers at the local swill hall leading to a rather harsh existence that would have been made much worse if somehow in-laws were involved.

Now, this to me is funny. I'm curious how the moderators feel.

After you blow through the easier beers on the "tour" list, popular imports and crafts, and you make your way through the never-ending IPAs, you are left with pages of high-test shit that drinks like MD20/20 that only the true artisanal beer consumers could enjoy.

Nevertheless we persisted. First stop was the tour when arriving in town, then the in-laws.

Paninis closest to where I grew up stayed open late so you could go get your swerve on downtown and on the way home toss one of those sandwiches in your gut which would soak up all the booze you drank and any booze you'd consume next week.

    Solid stuff.

I figure it's just a matter of time before they flip the switch and all the RFID readers are used for speed monitoring. Between that and all the cameras we're all fucked. I'm going to have no choice but to get an autonomous vehicle, I can't do the speed limit and I know it. When they did a bunch of work on the Sprain and lower Taconic a few years ago they put cameras on every other post, they're doing the same all over the state, I assume, in preparation for it.

I distinctly remember the worst beer on that list, Three Horse Brand. Tasted like they had 3 horses piss in the bottle. Back then no IPAs, no craft brewery, just bottles from around the world.

The last night when a buddy and I finished our list was a bit of a blur, just powered through the beers we had left. On completion you got the shirt and a polaroid for the Hall of Foam. Caption on my pic said "Boy, could I go for a genny now"

If there's one thing I know, its that Upstate and Italy have some things in common.

Like that Bocce hall of fame.
