Wren 108, K108 and BG’s are all awesome and just different. The Jeffrey 110’s could be improved, which they were, hence the K108.

I would try to console my extra-stiff Jeffreys about what the bad man on the internet said, but they're not sad just angry. Which fits their personality: fun-loving with a nasty, aggressive streak.

I'll ski them till they die, and if ON3P isn't interested in making a longer radius, progressively mounted twin, I'll probably see if Moment will build me a custom deathwish 190 with the Wildcat rocker, bamboo core, and extra stiffness.

Didn't say there weren't great skis. They were my first pair of ON3P's and obviously I liked them enough to keep buying more. :-)

I'm just teasing. I prefer the Jeffrey to the K108 is all. Longer radius, less aggressive taper, etc. I'd love the reduced tail rocker of the K108, but the J110 has a lot going for it.

Or I do not know, it might wishful thinking - but he did state something to that effect to Betel a while back. I know I am interested, my k108s might be replaced then - or my current quiver might be sufficient, crazier things have happened.

Also, I thought my ski buying days were over for the season, but apparently not. Decided in a spur of the moment type scenarios to swap my 176 k98s for 181 mag90s. Decided that if I wanna go full jeebus and learn to control myself and my skis better - aka jib&spin - I might as well go for something soft that won't catch and edge all the time, but still is more in tune with what I like to ski length wise.

It is kinda funny - seeing ON3P 3 I cannot say I identified with their skiing at all, though I appreciated the increased production quality of the movie over the two previous flicks and the impressive control the guys show cased. It had me thinking that my top end speed could increase if I can learn to exert that kinda of control over my skis and myself. So here I am. And yes, I know that the photo depict them upside down. They will be mounted with pivot14s



That is to say - thus far, my quiver disbanding plan is failing quite miserably... Oh well.

Those ON3P movies don't do it for me at all. Almost to the point that I didn't even give the skis a chance and I live in Portland. Needless to say I'm glad I skied them and ended up on Wren 108s. But I really wish they would do a film with their big mountain riders. I get that they have a niche with the park guys and need to make money but I think they could capture a larger big mountain market with a separate flick. I also know it's not easy to fund and put together a quality flick but I bet they could get 10 Barrel or a local brewery and some other sponsors together.

Those ON3P movies don't do it for me at all.

Yeah, my journey with ON3P has been an interesting one in that regard. Their movies are a niche product catering to a very in particular crowd for sure, but it does elicit some reactions which is the point according to Scott. It is def not a super scripted movie of skiing perfection, but friends having fun. I can relate to that, even if I can't to their skiing or choice of styles. I dunno, it is kinda off putting and refreshing at the same time.

At the end of the day though I think those movies have more kids stoked to go skiing than most of the superbootermovies combined in that what they portray probably seem a bit more attainable - which it really isn't, it is still super hard. Regardless though, for the "wrong" people, the movies might be more off putting than promotional. That is fine i guess, everything can't cater to everybody all the time.

For sure, I would not complain if ON3P 4 was all back country slaying, but then again - most of their other athletes put out a ton of good content like mr Fostvedts "Stray dogs" or edits on Insta. I am not complaining, variety is nice.

Replacing k98s with m90s was also to prevent overlap, as well them having a very specific purpose. My k108s can easily fill the role my k98s filled, so I think it is going to do wonders for learning stuff faster. I am quite exited to try them to be honest

Been skiing the steeple 116 in a 184. Such a great ski. Gonna get it into more variable snow this weekend. Sort of wish (for complete excess) I had nabbed the pair of 189s that were super discounted this summer as a shifts ski.

nice! I was actually looking for a decently lit photo of the current BG with the standard top sheet (as opposed to clear nylon) earlier today on Instagram - and here you deliver the goods! Thanks - man those look sensational! This years BG graphic is an instant classic for sure.

I was pretty stoked on my 17/18 BG topsheets until these dropped shortly after my purchase. Damn I like the new graphics!

My wife would be in...still skiing 163 Kikus....gotta get her on something new.

She’ll mount the Kikus on the wall.....she’s had them seems like forever.

My wife is a tiny 5'0" and <120lbs and still on 154 Kikus (which seem tiny) we got when she first transitioned back to skiing (early intermediate). I would love to get her a super light layup skinny goat. Or any kind of ON3P to be honest. When I ratio my ski length to height her equivalent would be like 158. She's fairly strong but I'm worried a longer/heavier ski might not help at her current level. I'd really like to get her on a more turny floaty ski to improve her confidence off piste and in 3D snow.

I'd really like to see the fish sticks make a comeback. Those were on the same level of "ugly" ( basically awesome in a weird way) as the Grizzlycorn.

That's a good way to look at it. Regardless, I love what they are doing with their skis. Talked a friend into buying BGs last season (he nearly made a huge mistake and bought super 7s). He can't stop raving ever time he takes them out. He was out today and texting about the God of all skis.

I really liked them in off piste firm or refrozen chunder and bumps, and some soft. Basically Spring at Squaw. That is, in the few days I tried them. My only issue with them was on piste performance, carving specifically, but I am admittedly a little weird in my quiver preferences. 100-110mm skis are my firm carving skis or park skis. 110-120mm skis are my “all mtn” skis. I belong on the Wren 114, but I’m way off my game lately.

For normal people, where 108mm is a semi-soft snow day after through 5-10 days after storm ski, I think the wren 108 would be amazing.

When On3p makes a slightly more directional freestyle ski, basically 191 wren/kartel combo, I’ll be all over it, you can count on that. What Auvgeek has been saying. I think the earliest Wrens were like that. When I’m feeling good, I tend to overdrive skis, and I’m also heavy, so it threw me out of whack on the Kartels. The older I get, I’m not old but every year, it seems center mount works less and less for me..

I'm old for the sport at 35. I had the first all mountain true twin (Line Ostness Dragons) in high school which I think was nearly Center mounted. I got along well with that ski but went back to directional skis after that and never turned back. To me it just feels better to drive a ski. And the older I get the lower the chance I'm doing anything cool switch. I still like a playful ski but I feel like the you can get that from a directional ski. Wren 108 is my daily rig and it is perfect for me.

Note... You clearly ski a lot more days than I do.

Heh, I only have 8 days this season. I dont suspect more than 60 days. I wanted 100 plus. I have to finish school and move on to a short term career here, and I keep getting minor injuries lately. My obsession is turning to dirt too. The deck is stacking against me a little, but hopefully that changes and I can snag 100 days

Don't rush it. I'm married, a new baby, and a demanding career and I will struggle to get 30 days in. Yeah, I could get more in easily but I would have to give up time elsewhere. Gets tougher to find the balance. Probably the wrong career choice?

This is way too deep though, build the quiver, live fast, die old. Back to the subject...

PB&J VS kartel 96...or Wren 96 but I have the 108 and wanting a diffent feel on low tide days to fuck around on. Not sure why I want a narrower ski but been thinking about it....go.
