None of you bastards bought these skis in my off-season/pre-season sale threads. I call COLLUUUUUUUUUUSION !!!!

Ordered and adjudged that the defendants, TGR Maggots, are hereby sentenced to borrow these skis, now mounted with demo plates, for the crime of colluding to prevent the sale of skis.

Hey Vitamin I. I have some 193 4Frnt EHPs drilled for Pivots at 315 collecting dust in Whistler in my storage. Next time I’m in town I’ll hit you up and give them to you for the collection.

    SICK!
I will definitely hit you up when I get to Whistler around Dec 1. You can dictate whether you want them to always stay in the Whistler Branch, or move them around on my tour. And you can also dictate whether you want me to mount demo bindings, or I still have 2 pairs of FKS waiting for skis like this.

Funny. Just a couple days ago, I listened to Hoji say on an old Blister podcast that he created these 193 EHP's basically so he could keep up when chasing Hugo around Blackcomb (Hugo was on custom raceroom Bandit XXXX's).

I’m not in Whistler anymore, and my storage is complicated. It’s full of some rare and valuable stuff, and only a few have access to it.
Next time I’m coming through I’ll pull them, ave if you’re not around town I can leave em at shop for you.
I’d rather someone ski these, then sit in storage.

Sounds perfect, Dee Hubbs! I will be hitting Whistler 4 times this winter, staying about 3 weeks on each visit, so surely we will make it happen eventually. I'm happy to pick them up anywhere in the Whistler area, like a shop, or your buddy's house, or wherever you choose.

Another set of a ON3P GrizzlyCorns. Supergoats in 1.5x stiffness.

Mounted these at -2 tonight with Quiver Killers. Note, 4 out of the 12 inserts had defects that would not allow them to be used. Two more had issues I fixed at home.

    Supergoat grizzlycorns are rad.

    But so many questions:

    - Why -2? I though it was pretty well established that Goats love the line?
    - Radical 2s on 1.5x Supergoats? Why.
    - Binding freedom > Quiver killers.

Okay, thats not a question, just a statement.

    Don’t disagree on any accord.

-2 because I live life in the backseat.

Radical 2s/Look HM on stiff goats because I ride pin bindings on everything right now and picked these up new for $200, which was a far cry better than anything else on prodeal.

Quiver killers because, on the ski, they function the same over the lifespan of the product and ended up costing me next to nothing.

My whole set up was about $650 shipped.

Sorry bro but you fucked up with the -2 mount.

And pins on that burly ski are going to rattle your shit loose. How much do you weigh?

Congrats on the gear... but I'm scratching my head too. Shrug

Yeah, no kidding. Smh on the -2. RES wants it on the line or within .5cm, not -2. That will change how that ski behaves drastically, esp if you’re backseat bob on a 1.5 SG.
Bite the bullet and remount them. You’ll thank us later.
Not even going to address the pin binders.

It'll be interesting to see how he likes it. Stiffer tail + lower tail rocker + extra length means that the shift to -2 likely won't be as drastic as it would on the standard 189 goat.

But given your propensity to lean back wouldn't it make more sense to go forward of the line?

I can't imagine skiing the SG as a tail gunner at any mount position.

Don't listen to 2funky. Instead of remounting them you should send them to me for proper disposal.

im very tired so i doubt this will make sense or be original i wanted to contribute a bit knowledge.

I've started filling old mount holes in skiis with the combo of 2-part gflex epoxy (using a syringe, filling from the bottom) with oak wood dowels, shaved down to fit. it is a chore compared to hammering plastic nubs into holes but i think the final product is as solid as the original product. I also typically mount with inserts, and after drilling / tapping those into the oak dowels, am totally impressed.

At this point, I'd happily take a ski on its 6th mount, replace old mount holes with wood dowels, and mount anywhere i please and feel safe doing it.

    It's kind of amazing.

the ski was made from wood and epoxy in the first place!

Do you prefer a particular grain orientation on the oak dowel?

I would suggest alternating the wood grain direction, to match the multiple directions the core laminate.

Dowel grain is parallel to length
Are you putting them in sideways?
    Not following that at all
