Watched a YouTuber who tested the same model with 600 rounds. had 2 jams hahaha.. No, I'm 70 rounds better and don't plan on ever carrying the gun anywhere unless full scale civil war breaks out or a disaster causes societal chaos for a few days. Beyond that, if it's my time to die I'm good with that. Not going to prep beyond insanity worrying about shit like that..

That ain't good shooting- you're all over the place. Today, I shot approx. two hundred rounds of 9mm through my CZ 75 SP-01, and it was not a good day. But even on my final target, I put at least one third of the rounds through the bulls eye. Most of the remaining rounds went low and to the left. Not by a lot, but certainly not POA (point of aim). Appeared to be classic flinching, but I don't think that I flinched all that much. Stopped and did a fair amount of dry-firing, and don't think that that was the problem. Was kinda shaky, though, probably from having a bottle of wine as my late-night dinner the previous day. So, maybe it was jittery hands. I've done a lot better with this gun.

So, what I'm getting at is that I have shot enough with this particular pistol (> 1000 rounds) since I bough it a month or two ago to have a reasonable assessment on how I'm doing on any particular day I'm firing it. If I'm flinching, I take a quick break, breath a bit, and then do some dry-fire drills before resuming shooting. Otherwise, I be wasting ammo.

Keep at it! Practice dry-fire drills. Try different ways to hold the gun and figure out what stance feels the most comfortable. Then practice so that how you best wield the gun becomes second nature. See if your range sells those targets that have "problem zones" outlined (vide infra Learn to, if you haven't already, to perform a basic disassembly and cleaning- I can disassemble any CZ 75 model in seconds and reassembly is only a few seconds longer. Have fun!

No thanks. I didn't enjoy the experience much at all. If I was going to shoot or had any desire to get even a little bit better I'd get a different gun. Heck, that shitty hour costs more than skiing. Lift tickets are less per hour and that's before we add in ammo.

What I will say, is that I agree for a "gun guy" or cop or repo man or bounty hunter a better quality gun would be a must. have fun, I can think of at least 20 other activities I'd prefer to going to the range to shoot any pistol.. and one of them is mowing my lawn..

Hey man, since you're gonna just set it and forget it, I'd recommend trading that little gun in for a Glock 17 or 19 9mm. It will cut the learning curve down greatly and Glocks go bang every time.

SumJong seems a lost cause, but good advice for anyone. I like Springfields personally too, but Glocks are great pistols.

This is very good advice. Thrown down a couple hundy more and grab the Glock. Probably the best pistol in existence for you. And they're cheap. One time expense.

I own many handguns of all types and descriptions. I have, in the past, owned two Glocks, 17 and 19. There is a reason that every PD in the country has them, the lowest of 3 bids.

What's funny is that Mrs sumjong really freaked out when the costs of this "cheap" handgun came across the online bank accounts..
$269.00 for the gun
$130.00 for the lock box with biometric lock
$120 for ammo and misc. accessories
$75.00 for a one time pass, additional ammo and hour of range shooting, Should have bought more ammo outside of the range first but still..

Even without the range shooting we're over $500 for a "cheap" handgun when other pretty important accessories are included.

Having shot that, a zp5, sig mpx and a skorpian in single and full...

I bought the zp5 and mpx in single with plans to sbr them.

The mpx got sent back to sig 3 times and I no longer care for it.

The zp5 is a dream I continue to love that might get a stamp.

Grip angle of a Glock is different than any other produced handgun. Everyone else is patterned off the 1911 angle, while Glock is its own angle. Most folks that are not used to the gun tend to shoot them low.

Do not care for the mushy trigger or the trigger safety. There are numerous reports of people failing to get their finger out of the trigger guard when holstering a Glock and negligently discharging a round. Not saying you can't do this with other handguns, but it has been a recognized problem with Glocks.

Unsupported chamber has caused catastrophic failures when using higher pressure personal defense loads. Google Glock kaboom

Many of the Glock magazines will accept one more round than their capacity. When you put the overloaded mag in the gun, it jams the action.

With all that said, I shoot them well. I have to be aware of and compensate for the grip angle.

Like Ken said, every gun shoots a bit different. It kinda depends on what you are used to and what you can become used to after many rounds. I have a couple different handguns, and I shoot them all different. My .22 Buckmark is probably the best gun I shoot, I can put 8 out of 10 rounds into a paper plate at 10 yards real quick. I bought a Sig 226 in 9 and for life of me I can't get it together with that gun. I shoot my .45 Taurus 1911 far better, I have to believe the trigger makes a big difference, the 1911 has a much more linear feel than the rocking horse of the double action.

I can't disagree with any of this. I have tons of friends who are very proficient with them. All guns have issues, however, 99.9% of the time it is operator error.

The biggest thing that scares me with a Glock is the unsupported chamber and high pressure ammo. I like my hands and digits.
