That team is impressive. Sox have been scrappping but falling just short. This guy Ramirez, of the DR Ramirez's, is something else. Lindor, etc. And the rookie Allen with two stellar grabs last night. Good pitching, they're tough. And Cabrera just kills the Sox.

ETA: that was 90 wins for them too. Before any other team has 80. What a fun team.

    90 wins, wow

Nice to see Swihart getting more consistent with the stick. He+Leon ain’t a bad combo as hitters for the modern era, where it seems there is less and less emphasis on catchers being big hitters. And both seem pretty good with the staff, Leon being a bit of a pitcher-whisperer

Nice action. Great afternoon for a game. I went to the beach for a while late, it was perfect.

    Hamels did ok.

Complete game in 112 pitches. As a Cub, he's now 4-0, ERA 0.79 Seems pretty clear that he was tanking in Texas.

One must note, tho, that Hamels recent success has not come against teams bound for the postseason.

    Still that guy brings it.

The Nola-Scherzer matchup last night was pretty stellar. Either one of those guys would look great with a "B" on their cap.

Well Max just turned 34, so in a couple years Sox could give him a 7 year deal.

    TB sweeps the Sux.

Yankees only 5 behind on losses.

Haha. Sox have played like shit the last week, but I’d rather have them do it now than in a month. I’ll still put them up against any team in the MLB.

They're a good team, but a week ago they were being compared to the 1998 Yankees and Eovaldi was the second coming of Pedro.

We gotta play some more games to figure out how good they are.

    That's why they play 'em.

The team was bound to have a slump sooner or later, what happens after is what matters. Mookie's not gonna continue to hit .174, Sales will be back, etc. We will see.

Are they finally moving out of that dumpy city and little league stadium?
