Oh of course... just kind of cool to see Porsche doing this farewell tour

I no longer have a TV, cable, (all gone in the fire and not replaced) etc. to watch F1 races...are there streaming sites not owned by the cable companies to watch, even delayed? The best I have is HBO Go, no Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, et al.
It's pretty well locked down still. ESPN requires a cable subscription to watch online I think?

There is no information in that Press Release about how to sign up or when it will go live. I dropped cable a week or so ago after my special price ended. I can't justify an extra $40 for basically a couple races a month but $8 would be worth it.

I'm so digging the no commercials.

Rule #1 When racing a team mate, DON'T FUCKING CRASH HIM.

    Rule #2 Don't crash during a yellow...

    During a safety car.

The Gasly Hartley near miss in qualifying was fucking terrifying. if Gasly had gone over his wheel at that point we'd still be waiting for him to land.

What do you do if you’re Red Bull? Can you hang your hat on Verstappen? If I’m Ricciardo I would not be happy about having to try and pass my extremely hard to pass teammate twice.

I think that was when the Renaults were on Ultras and Renault has two really good drivers. Unlike Red Bull.

    They do.

    You're an idiot.

No team on the grid would, given a free choice, take Sainz or Hulkenberg over either current Red Bull driver.

The same opinion the whole sport has.

Hulkenberg has been passed over several times by the big teams... Ferrari and Mercedes both had the chance to sign him for cheap. There's clearly a reason they didn't. and signed others. The no podiums in 139 starts weighs like a rock around his neck I believe. His weight too, think he's still the heaviest driver. teams like to be able to use ballast. New rules proposal may help him a little with that. The newer crop of younger drivers have eclipsed him now anyway.

Red Bull already favored Max over Sainz they were close as team mates at Torro Rosso but Red Bull are the masters at this driver selection game. No mistake Sainz is very, very good. But like i said given a free choice no one would pick the current Renault Drivers over the current Red Bull ones.

1st round of World Endurance Championship from Spa is being shown on Velocity cable channel this weekend.

    Alonso's debut in the Toyota.

Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

The 1 lap penalty for the #7 Toyota was kind of harsh for a paperwork infringement. That car's drive through the field to catch #8 was pretty impressive. They would have won if not for team orders.

Solid drive by Alonso though in that new enviroment of multiple classes of cars and disparate speeds. When Conway was catching him at end of race you could see that inexperience.

    Was launched today.

Doesn't appear to be available in the USA. I don't remember hearing that previously.

The Skyfeed is good (although Hobbs and Matchett were pretty good and entertaining, IMO), but the way ESPN has coverage scattered across four different ESPN channels is far from ideal. Especially since on my cable system the programming is mislabeled (two weeks ago I missed the beginning of qualifying because of that). And this week they have practice 3 on ESPN News, which is a channel that my cable provider apparently no longer carries (kind of amazing, considering how many other ESPN channels it has).

I have to think that making it challenging to know where to watch is not going to build a steady following.

Spain FP1. Robert Kubica sitting in for Sirotkin finishes 1.2 seconds ahead of teams "#1" driver Lance Stroll.

Kubica Describes the Williams as "embarrassing to drive"

I think it's Stroll and Williams who should be embarrassed.
