The skiing was good yesterday. I’m first chair on 1A everyday, if you actually ever feel like skiing.

Bring your A game and a better attitude.

The skiing is superb right now. Have fun in Denver or wherever you are. It’s amazing how many will bring the anti-stoke no matter what the weather is doing. Go up and ski and quit being such a prude. You will have a much happier life that way.

No. Rope drops, knee to chest deep powder and winter finally delivering gets the "stoke up".

Drove up I-70 last night around 8pm coming from sunny Ft Myers, FL. Loveland is going to be really great today, wind was moving a lot of snow around. Hopefully some of you guys are out there enjoying it!

More like twice that in the past 7 days. That's cool though, one less person on the roads/slopes works for me. It sucks up there, you should really stay home for the whole year.

Well, good skiing to be had but I'm ready for a central storm track with under 80 mph winds.

Kind of surprising. The max gust I can find on any of the remote stations on this side of the Elks was 40 yesterday. Not exactly dead calm, but not exactly hammering either.

A basin skied great again today. Caught some rope drops for terrain that was open yesterday and had blown in/filled in nicely overnight.

Also, saw some slide debris coming back over LL pass on the way home.

Agreed, Abasin was great yesterday. Caught Pali rope drop and got out front early to find fresh tracks from the wind-fill all the way down.

Yeah, it was pretty good. I was surprised to see that traversing over into Horseshoe/Contest Bowl was fair game as well.

The last storm was for real. If you didn't ski Christmas, thats on you. But really, my attitude is starting to suffer. The BC is not so good, the wind has blown for 10 days straight, just enough snow around to but a damper on the down valley activities. And now it is mud season at New Years. Snow was melting at is was 45deg at 8500 yesterday. I guess I'll go XC once again and go kite on the lake...if its frozen.

Mud season is a bit of a stretch, I think, but yeah it was warm yesterday.

Good weather for staying home and getting drunk.

Weekly C lot festivities kick off next week. Every Thursday. Unless it’s crappy weather, then we’ll be in Pep’s.

Get out early, Rip some groomers until it gets crowded, then do something else.
    No wind over here.

I can confirm that Underoos and his crew have a good thing going on Thursdays. Alas, this year is fucked for me, it might be April before I can take a random Thursday off.

Man, here I was pretty happy with the skiing the last week. Amazing how someone else could have such an polar opposite view on things.
