I've been alone for 3 of the last 4. Could be worse, but sure could be better too.

Started to get sick yesterday about lunch time. Shitty head cold.

Didn't want to spread the love so it is a night at home.

I think my friends who were hosting are thankful.

This year we ate the pie in the afternoon, rather than wait until after dinner when we're all stuffed. And I didn't crack a beer until 4:30, that helps.

Never had a bad Thanksgiving that I can recall. Guess I should be thankful for that.

If you find yourself in a place you don't want to be? Do something different.

Think about volunteering. You help others and you help yourself.
Start looking into volunteering for Christmas.

There are so many people out there who really need a little boost. Being a small part of a group trying to brighten someones day goes a very long way.

solo by choice. opted out, on purpose. as much as I like the hostess, she's a trump supporter and I was afraid I'd voice my disgust after a few cocktails. I could've driven 100 miles to my best friends place, my surrogate family, but NAH, done that plenny in the past. more stoked to get on the snow this weekend. it's just a turkey. I've had so many family turkey days with all the relatives in the past, I'm kinda over it.
