Just the standard tapered barrel for now. The primary reason for doing this is to reduce my ammo cost and shoot better, so I ordered the base model. I'll do a can one day, but at that point, I should probably buy one specifically for the can.

Shooting two-eyes-open has started working way better recently, as I'm going through a few hundred rounds/week in the Glock, plus a bunch of dry-fire. I'm still working on making front sight focus work better. I have a tendency to target focus if I'm not really thinking about it and taking my time. Ammo at $0.06/rd should improve that further.

Target focus is good, work on the natural shooting and it will come.

    Check out Jerrys videos.

Anybody care to comment on Sig 45s? Not looking for a CC, more of a large frame. Already own a 1911 Kimber, FYI.

Ruger came in. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but I'm impressed. It comes down with a single button on the back. Trigger isn't awful. I'm hoping it'll break in and get rid of some of the grit. The grip angle isn't as different as it looks.

If the take down gets stuck, don't force it. I bent mine, its never been the same.

Call Ruger - their customer service is generally pretty awesome. Worst case, they'll have you send the pistol back and they'll replace the part. If you are nice and come off as knowledgeable when you speak with customer service they might even just ship you out a replacement part.

I have an older Ruger Mark II that looks identical. Unfortunately, has the Euro mag release which is a PIA.

I have been wanting to get a Marvel .22 upper for my STI 2011, but just haven't gotten around to it. Supposedly the best around for the 1911 style frames

On a scale of 1 - 10 how hard do you guys get looking at pictures of guns ?

I see that the kooky, bizarre, and near religious idolatry of mass killing devices is in full effect in this thread

Thanks for your valuable input WTF.

Anyone got a recommendation for a single shot 20 gauge? Had a H&R 22" a few years back, would love to replace with something a tad nicer for clay pigeons.

Is Boulder becoming as politically acorrect as LA? You seem to be showing the classic leftist symptoms of extreme intolerance and general leftist bigotry.

I’d say you need to just stay out of a thread you don’t like and let folks chat about what they’re into.

You live in the middle of all that you hate. Good for you.

Now go back to the shooter thread.

Nah I got 600 acres of private singletrack outside my back door and another 5000 acres of wilderness beyond that with incredible Mountain views.

It’s just a temporary apartment till I finish school in another year or two anyhow

It’s definitely better than whatever dump you live in down in the south, I can guarantee that
