What a crappy night.

I just thought I would put it out there that the biking conditions in the PNW and Southwest of BC are as good as it gets right now. We have been getting lots of rain, but things are drying out. It is damp soil and as grippy as possible. It is truly like riding on padded velcro. And we are not having a heat wave like the SW. It looks to be about 70 degrees and sunny for the next week or so. If you are thinking of a road trip to ride, now is the time.
I would, but, no picture

5th water loop. Not pictured is an out-n-back on Cottonwood Creek and 2nd water. Put in 37 miles. Rugged trails, long ripping descents, big views, will be back.

Not much on 5th water, fairly dusty on Cottonwood Creek. Not too bad but I was glad to be running aggressive tires.
Both downhills were great, but I actually thought coming down 2nd water/Cottonwood Creek was more fun. I was really glad I went all the way up 2nd water. The heat was kicking my ass at that point and I nearly turned around several times but that was worth it.
Have you ridden Center between 5th water and 2nd water? That looks like it might be a good way to turn it into a sweet figure 8 loop.
