Bumper crop of nettles and slugs this year.
The views were just OK

Japanese Gulch, Everett Warshington
Everett is pretty much north seattle.
Once you get north of the beltway, the breeze becomes arid, the canyons begin to open in an emerging pattern of perfectly chiseled horizon challenging buttes, a turkey vulture visits from the river canyon 4000 feet below. The wide open desert landscapes of northwest Washington state are an often overlooked, but genuine treasure of our nation.

Never ridden it, but that looks awfully Grand Canyon-y so I'm going to guess Rainbow Rim.

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.
Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
It's my personal goal to open the nation's eyes to the wonderful, undeveloped desert landscapes of Everett Washington.
Easily accessible via Seattle's commuter train system.

Spent a few days down in Angel Fire this week.... absolutely incredible. Even for a gaper like me, the bike park is super fun, and the XC trails in the valley are off the hook. The South Boundary Trail is as good as it gets.
Here's a shot of Bill and Jay (his leg, at least) hauling ass down Hungry Hippo.

Nebo zone. Headcount for the day was one elk, about half a dozen motos, no other bikes. Finally sacked up and hit the big drop on Bennie Creek. Bohemian pilsner is a fabulous post-ride beverage.

Mill creek at Targhee. Great way to spin off a wedding hangover!

I took my wife mtn biking last year and f'd up by going down a little trail that was too difficult. I've always kinda sucked at understanding what is difficult to some and easy to others...especially skiing...'cause I'm an idiot! So I took this pic to entice her to come back out with meNot sure it worked, but she liked that I was thinking of her on my ride...so I got that going for me.

Suntop was riding mighty fine yesterday, even if the views of this beast made me want to go skiing. Big thanks to the couple of guys (bikers, not forest service, of course) that brought a chainsaw and were clearing at least a dozen good sized downed trees off the trail. There's one messy washout on Skookum flats too, but manageable enough to hike around.
Dusted off the Fatness, full squish is in the shop.
Forgot how fun these rigs are in summer.
