Wife and I headed to NorCal and Oregon for post ski season car camping road-trip and first rides of the season. Hit up Paradise Royale in King's Range near Shelter Cove, CA; Prairie Creek Redwoods/Ossagon loop near Trinidad,CA and Mckenzie River Trail in OR.

Cache creek is riding really well right now but all I got is this night bike shot.

Oregon sounds fun! I need another month of PTO :/

Nice tires. A friend has a set of those, and I picked up some 27mm vittoria open paves this year which are about all that will fit in my road bike. Big, high thread count tires- so smooth.

And since we're posting road bikes, mine got trashed at a "road race" the other day. Won my category but I'm not sure it was worth it because I pretty much need a new bike now.

On top of that I'm waiting for a new freehub for my rear MTB wheel and can't ride that either.

Ah well not too far off then.

Trails have been so good lately and with the cool wet weather looks like they'll stay that way

He totally has the speed for the double after that tabletop too. It's a way smoother jump, but he has a mental block about the gap aspect that I certainly don't blame him for. He did the same thing at the jump in the first vid for weeks. He'd stand at the top almost in tears because he wanted to do it so bad but couldn't summon the nerve ("I can't unlock my mind, Dad!"). He finally did it Saturday and was so overstoked he didn't want to do it again. We went back on Sunday and he sent it with zero hesitation, then hit it at least more 20 times

Turned 6 in January. He's riding better than I ever imagined he would at this age. It's a blast.

Friend of mine, 38yr old marathon runner Mother of 2 ran a 3:10 Boston does Ldvl etc., said you mtn bikers are funny with the pics. I have never been on a trail run and thought hey I'm going to lean my bike on that tree/rock whatever and take a pic. I said well you should, next week I get a pic of jog bra hanging on top of summit. Funny girl.

^thanks. the table tops on corral loop are 25 minutes from my back door so i've been working them a lot this spring. i started off not being able to clear the small ones but now have them all (except for a mental block on the gaps, which are shorter). now i'm working on the whips
one from yesterday cause it was #tabletoptuesday
